Silvia was an absolutely fabulous hostess! She made us some of her favorite recipes on our American Thanksgiving holiday and it was so lovely to enjoy that holiday in someone’s home/in a family environment. We are so excited to make the dishes that she made for us for our family now that we’re back in the United States. It was also wonderful to get to know someone who has lived in Luca, her entire life and she recommended a nearby truffle festival for the following weekend. We’re really hoping to stay in touch with her because it was just a fantastic experience.

On day 1 of my Florence trip, I spent my day with this lovely Masini family, Antonietta, her husband Pietro, and their lovely and warm-hearted English-speaking friend Monica. Loved every second of my time talking to them, sharing their space, their lovely home and a gorgeous spread of a 4-course meal. We interacted on cultures and their similarities, how love brings people together, food gets them closer. I don't know where the time flew. With much love and gratitude.

The Cesarina, her husband and the translator were all very gracious. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere at their home was delightful. Even through the translator, conversation was easy and we learned much about the host family, Italian culture and the Cesarina’s amazing culinary skills. Transportation to our host’s home was made easy by being picked up at a location nearby and convenient to us.

Our group had a wonderful time with Lunia and her son, Michele! We made pasta and tiramisu! Lunia accommodated our lactose intolerance issue. I would come visit Lunia again anytime!

It was a wonderful evening. The hostess prepared a light four-course menu, which tasted delicious. An all-round successful experience. Highly recommended.
