My friend Ana and I wish to come back for the longer tour and that we are so lucky to have a guide who is passionate about what he does! A very well organized tour, great time management especially considering how far is Salamanca from Madrid (2:40hrs) our guide Khan was excellent and provided us with a great background on the fascinating history of these two towns. We had around 1 and half hour free time in each city. The tour started early around 7:45, before reaching the first stop Salamanca we stopped at a restaurant in gas station to have some quick breakfast coffee. Then the guide took us for a short walking tour and left us at Cathedral to continue on our own. We then drove to Avila and spent there around 2 hours. We finished around 5 clivk and were back in Madrid around 6:30.

Great tour, you see a lot in a short time (of course a lot goes into the drive and you only get an impression, but you also get time to explore on your own). Good mix of information and personal experience. Although the official city tour in Ávila is very short and (as in Salamanca) ends with a visit to the cathedral. The entrance fee is (unfortunately) already included, so you should take a look. Using all of your free time is then possible, but not a must. In Salamanca it is not enough to explore everything, in Ávila you can completely traverse the historical part with all the sights. So to emphasize this again positively. Also that the historical information is given on the bus.
