Pickup was at 12.45 - about an hour late! I thought it was just going to be the jeep ride, but having arrived at the desert station (and after a bit of a wait) we had a long ride through the dunes on quads. This was good but a bit slower than other excursions. Also a bit too much emphasis on photo opportunities. After another wait, we mounted the jeep and started the trek to the Bedouin camp. Again, this was a bit tamer than when I’ve done the excursion with another company but we had an interesting ridge climb in the middle of the desert. Arriving at the camp we had our camel ride and Bedouin lectures, then a quick drive in some rather dodgy buggies. The dinner was good and accompanied a short dance show (the venue for this was large and atmospheric) We were then back in the jeep and returned directly to the hotel. Sadly - we didn’t get the promised star gazing. All in all it was a great excursion. Less waiting would improve it, but it still gets my recommendation.

The excursion was nice and a lot was offered for the money. Disadvantage: contrary to the information we could not be picked up at the hotel. We were not informed of this. We were informed and picked up only after a telephone inquiry with the provider. Unfortunately, not much information has been obtained about the Bedouins.
