As was written in another review, it was not a trip to Makadi Bay but to Giftun Island with 2 snorkeling trips. Maybe that should be changed. But still the trip was very nice. The men on board even knew where there were moray eels and we finally saw one in full length. The snorkeling spots were fine. There was lunch on board and the trip lasted about 7 hours. The crew on board was also very friendly. All in all it was a nice trip and everything worked even though we only booked two hours before the start of the trip.

We booked the tour "Makadi Bay: snorkeling tour" (5 hours), but we got the tour "Hurghada: snorkeling tour on the island of Giftun & lunch" (9 hours). We do not know whether it was a mistake or we were simply rebooked because there were too few participants. The two tours are the same except for the stay on Giftun Island. I had booked the tour the day before, about 3 hours later the confirmation from the organizer came, with the pick-up time from the hotel. We were picked up on time and driven to the port, near MakadiBay. The employee was very friendly and explained the daily routine to us during the trip. Everything on the boat was very clean and there was enough space for about 25 participants. The tour went exactly as in the description. We were at two very nice snorkeling sites, nice guide (could also German) and delicious lunch. All in all it was a great tour and recommended.

Tour guide, equipment and boat were very good

The tour guide went out of his way to offer us tourists an interesting trip. The boat and the crew were always friendly. Our group consisted of Germans and Egyptians. Unfortunately, our groups were separated from each other for linguistic reasons. I got the feeling that we were treated a little better as well-off Germans, which I didn't like. It would have been nicer to do the altivities together with all participants. This made the possibility of contact a little more difficult in advance. The two diving spots were hardly suitable for nice diving. Due to mass tourism (which we are part of), the corals were almost dead. If you have a room in the Makadi Palace Hotel, the coral reefs on the hotel beach are much better. From this point of view, the price-performance ratio was right, considering the effort of the tpurguides and the long trip on the Red Sea. Recommend!
