It was a great experience! The place is easy to get to from Malaga, approximately 45-50 minutes drive from where I was staying. Meeting the tour guide was very easy. In terms of the tour itself it was very beautiful (in fact more beautiful than I expected) very lovely views and spectacular colours. The hike wasn't as scary as I thought it would be... but it's just my personal opinion. It's definitely worth doing though. I wasn't disappointed at all. All in all, a very good experience worth doing if you have time and don't mind spending 20€ or more.

The caminito del Rey is really awesome. you should definitely have a look. however you don't need a guide for this. The guide was actually booked for an English tour. But did a Spanish / English mixed tour. about 15 minutes at each station of the way Spanish fables presented extravagantly. Then quickly submitted an English summary in 3 minutes of what he previously embellished for ages. in the meantime you stand around forever at each station. In addition, it has to be said that we were registered for the tour at 5 p.m. You should be there 15 minutes in advance. There was no parking space and we weren't completely abandoned until just before 5 p.m. The tour didn't start until 5:30 p.m. At the actual entrance everything was badly organized and toilets without paper! We left the group at some point and are on our own. At the pace of the guide we would not have been at the end in 5 hours. After 3.5 hours we were back in the bus to the starting point.

You should be at the meeting point 15 minutes beforehand. Then the tour starts about 30 minutes after the booked time. The hike itself is just beautiful! I would do it again and again. The guide (Rachel) was very fun, personable and helpful. She helped us in the difficult places and talked us down soothingly (we were a little afraid of heights). She also told a lot of interesting things about the Caminito del Rey. The route is 7.5 km long and easy to manage. The way back is by bus; it costs € 1.55. You could have communicated that beforehand. Otherwise, I can recommend this excursion to everyone who is reasonably good on foot and who gets his fear of heights under control.
