Full description
The province of Cordoba, which still bears traces of its Iberian, Roman and Muslim past, is rich in traditions; it has an outstanding architectural heritage, and its gastronomy has undergone a considerable resurgence with the revival of a range of dishes from the traditional cooking of the region. Explore the unique influences that have created the cultural traditions of the city. The city have a vast flamenco scene that while in the region is worth visiting, and testing out. The famous Bulls that so much Spanish culture celebrates have importance still within Cordoba. Once the beating heart of Spain, Cordoba is the Muslim capital of Spain, which gives the city unique flares of cultural difference to rest of the region. The Guadalquivir river crosses this region providing water for the lushes valleys growing olives and grapes. Toward the north the landscape becomes progressively more wild with forests and abundant life approaching the Sierra Morena. In the south, the land rises gradually until it reaches the mountains of the Subbetica range.

It was beautiful in itself but definitely not worth 150 Euro per person! Firstly, we had booked for Tuesday 26/10, but just after landing in Málaga on 24/10 we received a message that we would be the only ones and that there had to be at least four participants and whether we could also go on 29/10. We did, but this was our last day and the day before we also had an excursion so the distribution was not really ideal. On the day itself, we were picked up by the guide with two others in a passenger car. I sat in the middle of the back seat and had nowhere to put my legs, not really comfortable when you have to drive for an hour and three quarters of an hour. Cordóba itself is beautiful and the Mezquita for sure, but it is quite small and you can get through it in no time. All in all, it was a bit disappointing, especially for 300 Euros, also because of the transport.
