Choose between 3 route options of different lengths to explore Manaus and the Amazon in 1-day: Route 1 - Day Tour with Meeting of Waters, Dolphins & Indian Village (8 Hours) Discover the unique phenomenon of the Meeting of the Waters of the Rio Negro and Amazon River, or Rio Solimões, as the upper section of the Amazon River is known in Brazil. The full-day tour from Manaus sails by speedboat to a local village, where you will interact with the indigenous Dessanos and Tucanos peoples. Visit a jungle pharmacy and watch the indigenous peoples going about their daily activities. Meet the shaman of the tribe, and see and purchase lovely handmade handicrafts. Pause for lunch at the Jungle Queen floating restaurant to sample regional food, before continuing to the Meeting of the Waters, where the dark waters of the Rio Negro mix with the sandy colored waters of the Amazon. Take a canoe trip into the flooded forests, where piranha fishing is a popular activity. Go to a pirarucu fish nursery to see one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world. Route 3 - Half-day Manaus City Tour (4 Hours) Located in the north of Brazil, Manaus is the capital of the Amazon. It is one of the most important places of departure to explore the Amazon Rainforest, the world’s richest and most-varied biological reservoir, and contains several million species of insects, plants, birds, and other forms of life. After pick-up from your hotel in Manaus, the tour will visit some important landmarks in the city, such as The Amazon Opera House (also known as The Amazon Theatre). Inaugurated in 1896, it is a historical landmark that currently accommodates the Amazonas Philharmonic and plays host to the annual Amazonas Opera Festival. The Indian Museum is the biggest museum of Brazilian indigenous history and houses more than 3,000 pieces made by Amazonian tribes. After your tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Manaus.

Discover the Amazon Rainforest on a 3-, 4-, or 5-day trip from Manaus to Amazon Boto Lodge, a Jungle Lodge where all activities and meals are included. Ride a speedboat, walk through the jungle, search for native wildlife, and more. Stay overnight in private air-conditioned rooms. The lodge is located 120 kilometers south of Manaus by lake Juma, an area surrounded by a virgin forest. The lodge was built on stilts in an isolated area in the jungle with a view of the lake and jungle. The location does not disrupt the natural environment. Sleep in private suites with air-conditioning and bathrooms. The Lodge is a simple and clean place, perfect for groups interested in exploring the Amazon Jungle. Rest assured you won't be overrun by guests: the lodge hosts no more than 18 persons at a time. Lunch and dinner are generally made up of regional fresh fish, chicken, beef, beans, salads, rice, vegetables, and fruits. At breakfast, enjoy bread, cheese, eggs, coffee, milk, juice, tea, and fruit. Day 1:Following morning pickup at 07:30 am, head to the Ceasa Port and take a speedboat to the Meeting of Waters, the point where the Rio Negro and Solimões River meet. From there, you’ll be taken to the Careiro Village on the other side of the Solimões River. This excursion continues by car or van for about 1 hour to Maçarico Lake. A final trip by speedboat takes you to the lodge. In the afternoon, the day’s activities begin. Leave the lodge by canoe for dolphin and bird watching, as well as piranha fishing. End the day by observing the sunset before heading back to the lodge for dinner. At night, go caiman (cayman) spotting, a truly thrilling experience. Day 2: Start the morning by traveling by canoe to watch the sunrise in the Amazon Rainforest. Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for a jungle trek that takes up the rest of the morning. During the walk, learn all about medicinal plants, trees, and insects. Along the way, you might even see some monkeys. Your day continues with afternoon activities, including a canoeing adventure in a flooded forest. From September to February, enjoy a guided trekking activity. Spend a few hours quietly passing through the exuberant Amazon jungle while learning about the flora and fauna of your guide. After dinner, go out on a motorized boat for the night safari and spot some wildlife along the rivers and small channels. Spend the rest of the night at the lodge.  Day 3:For approximately 3 hours in the morning, visit the home of a local family to learn about their simple but wonderful way of life in the forest. Return to the lodge for lunch, then return to Manaus if you chose the 3-day option. If you booked the 4- or 5-day option, after lunch, go out to explore some more small channels and spot birds, monkeys, caimans, and dolphins. Optionally, learn about nocturnal wildlife by staying overnight in the forest and going spearfishing.   Day 4: After breakfast, go trekking in a different area where you’ll learn survival techniques and plenty of facts about the forest. If the 4-day option is booked, end your trip by returning to Manaus after lunch at the lodge. If you chose the 5-day option, go camping in the woods and spend the night in the forest with your guide.   Day 5: Following breakfast, go on a canoe trip to explore and swim in the lake. Return to the lodge for lunch before heading back to your pickup point in Manaus. Departure time from the lodge at 01:00 am , arriving around 04:30 to 05:00 pm in Manaus

Learn about the history and culture of Manaus, Amazona's capital in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Then take a speedboat down the Amazon River to witness the Meeting of the Waters and a floating village.   You’ll be picked up from your hotel and drive to the historical center of "old Manaus." On a walking tour through town, notice the facades of the neoclassical buildings created during the rubber boom of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Visit the majestic Amazon Theatre opera house in the main square, and head to the market complex to see the three buildings known as the banana market, fish market, and municipal market. Check out the Rio Negro Palace, formerly a German rubber baron's residence that is now a museum. Next you will drive through the port and embark on a speedboat to witness the most impressive phenomenon of the Rio Negro and Amazon River, or Solimões River as it is called upstream, that run side by side without mixing their waters. Then venture to the floating village where all the houses, school, churches, bars, restaurants, and other structures are built on logs to float on the lake. Disembark at a floating fish farm and have an encounter with one of the biggest freshwater fish in the world, the famous pirarucu.   Get back in the boat for a nice ride upstream heading to Lake January, filled with giant waterlilies. Have a walk on a suspended walkway as high as the canopy of the trees, and see the sumaumeira, the biggest species of tree in the Amazon.

During this botanical city tour, you will visit the two best natural parks in Manaus to get a sense of how rich and diverse the Amazon region's wildlife and nature really is. The first site to be visited is the Amazon Museum (MUSA), located in the botanical garden Adolpho Ducke, which in turn is part of the largest urban forest reserve on the planet. In this botanical garden, you will walk along a forest trail and you will visit a lagoon with water lilies (the largest aquatic plant on the planet). You will also visit an aquarium with several species of fish from region, including the famous pirarucu (Arapaima gigas). You will go to a serpentary where you can learn more about the different types of snakes found in the region, as well as several exhibitions about the fishing techniques of the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. After this, head to the Amazon National Research Institute (INPA), where several researchers from around the world seek to know more about the greatest biodiversity on the planet. In this open park, you will have the opportunity to glimpse various animals and plants from the region such as manatee - which for many years were hunted predatorily near to extinction and today find refuge in a project to repopulate local rivers and lakes. Besides the manatee, you will be able to see several other species like the giant otter, turtles, alligators, and electric eels.

Discover the research carried out in the area by the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA) for more than 60 years, which has been instrumental in the dissemination and popularization of scientific and cultural education. After enjoying the convenience of hotel pickup in Manaus, make your way to the Amazonian Museum. Buy your entrance ticket when you arrive (about 30 BRL) and then enter the museum. With your guide, find exhibitions, a nursery of orchids and bromeliads, a lake, aquariums, and experimental laboratories full of snakes, insects, and butterflies. Climb the 42-meter (138 foot) observation tower to admire a magnificent view of the forest canopy. Take pleasant walks along the museum's various forest trails and enjoy being at one with nature.
