Full description
Explore the paradise of Presidente Figueiredo on a full-day tour from Manaus. Swim in a stunning waterfall, visit incredible caves, and get in touch with nature as you hike through the beautiful Amazon rainforest. After pickup at 7:00 AM/7:30 AM, travel along highway 174 to the Maruaga Caves Park where your tour begins.  Hike through diverse landscapes as you admire the trees, vines, and native birds. After approximately 2 kilometers, you'll reach the entrance to a giant sandstone cave that is covered by waterfall for part of the year. Enter the cave to see markings made by former residents, keeping a look out for the local wildlife.  Continue through the cave system, sometimes wading through water, to reach the fantastic Judea Cave where you can swim in the waterfall. Afterwards, return to the vehicle and drive to Urubuí to see the stunning rapids that cut through the city. Stop for bathing, and to enjoy a lunch of fish or roast beef with a soft drink.  After lunch, visit either the Santuário Waterfalls or Iracema Waterfall, some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. Swim and relax by the falls, surrounded by beautiful scenery. At the end of the day, return to Manaus with unforgettable memories of your experience.

This was my favorite tour I did of the Amazon. I saw some gorgeous plants, some fascinating animals, and the tour guide was great. You will definitely see bats and enjoy swimming with some fish. Bring clothes that are easy to change in or wear your swimsuit under! The only comment I would have would be to request the tour use a more environmental food place. The place they take you to serves animal products and animal products are highly destructive to the planet. With a plant based restaurant or at least plant based food for everyone on the tour I would say this tour was perfect.

A great trip walking through the Amazonian rainforest. The trail was short and not very difficult. The cave system is very interesting, waking in the water along the cave’s walls was also a great experience. The lunch was good but the guide, Lucivaldo, was even better. He is very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and he helped me when I needed it. Highly recommend.
