Full description
Discover the landmarks of Manaus and the Amazon Rainforest on a full-day guided tour with a small or private group, including pickup and drop-off at hotels in Manaus. Select the option for a private tour to experience this day with friends and family only, or select a small group tour to meet other travelers. Start your day off with a hit: interacting with pink dolphins. Have the unforgettable experience of swimming with these playful and docile animals. Watch your dealer feed them in the water and learn about government agencies’ attempts to counter overhunting. Next, visit an indigenous village to learn about their culture and watch a presentation of their rituals, musical instruments, traditional dances, and songs of their culture. Purchase some souvenirs and listen to them tell you about their history and legends in this amazing encounter.   From there, head to the last stop of the first part of the tour: lunchtime in a floating restaurant. To get there, you’ll navigate through Igapo (flooded forest) by walking along a wooden walkway suspended over the lake. You might even get lucky and spot some sloths, birds, and monkeys. Enjoy a delicious lunch with an all-inclusive buffet with drinks, fruit salad, fish, and chicken.   After lunch, you’ll go sailing on the Amazon River to observe various villages and their characteristics, like houses built on stilts. Where the Negro River meets the Solimões River, stop for photos and an explanation of this natural phenomenon. Then, head to the Lake Catalan to visit a village of floating houses, schools, and churches. On this site, stop in at a floating farm that raises several species of fish.   Return to your starting point through the border of Manaus, visiting the Rio Negro Bridge, various neighborhoods, the historic center, the main harbor, and Adolfo Lisboa market. Depending on the time of the year and the weather, you may even have the time to stop in at one of the beaches along the way. This is sure to be an amazing day that will immerse you in the diverse ecology of the Amazon.

DeAngelo was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and had great English. The small group is the best way to take this tour. The boat was the perfect size. We were able to travel through the small canals and enjoy the wild life. One of our best tours while in Brazil. Highly recommended

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, but the weather happened to be awful and as the speedboat failed to provide any protection against the freezing wind and rain on the river, we fell ill. Remember to bring not just a raincoat, but extra clothing to change in case the weather gets bad. The wind will feel horrible in the high speed when it's raining.
