A must do if you like to be independent and away from group tours. Bike to Salsalito. Steep climbs can be handled in first gear. Take water. Spend the day shopping in Salsalito or take bus from Salsalito 30 min. to Mier woods. The woods are ok but very big tourist stop. Fun if you want to get out of the city for the day. 3 mile walk at the Woods or more if you like. If you are tired eat at the best burger place in the world in the oldest building in Salsalito then ferry back. We biked back because in the am it was cloudy when we crossed the bridge and we wanted another look.
Great, helpful staff. GPS very good, map well described and easy to drive. Great way to see San Francisco just disappointed with the package I brought. I brought the 'Golden Gate Bridge and Lombard Loop' package and thought that meant going over the bridge and down the Lombard but it doesn't. It means going up to the bridge but not allowed over and around the Lombard because the traffic cops stop you going down, otherwise had a lovely time.
Busy and long time to check in but I’m guessing due to the covid rules and regulations. However, my time on the GoCar was accommodated for and I got every minutes out of my ride for the price I paid so I was satisfied. I love how the car talks to its passengers and gives you historical facts on structures throughout the tour. The price was right I guess. I went when it was raining and still had a great time.
The Golden Gate/Presidio route was great (do not expect to go over the Golden Gate though, it's obvious why!). If we had had more time, we would have alsone done the City route. It's great fun, but do watch you don't end up accidentally getting on a steep, unintended road. Overall awesome, great service and easy instructions to follow - great for family of 4!!!
Best way to see all the site's. Get the car for the day so you can get out and look around. Two to three hours is not enough time. Worth the cost you pay. Our family had a blast with teenagers must be able to drive great activity for them not to be right under the parents. A must do while you are in SF.
