Full description
On the first day, ride to Imlil from Marrakesh and begin your trek. You'll head along the Ait Mizane Valley, pass through the village of Aremd and onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You’ll follow mule tracks into the high rocky cliffs, climbing steadily above the snow line until you reach the Toukbal Refuge. Rest here for the night. On the second day, you’ll follow the southern circle route. The climb itself is not highly strenuous, but scree and altitude changes may make it difficult in parts. Don't worry - there are plenty of views to distract you along the way. When you reach the summit, soak in the 360-degree-view. You'll see the Marrakech Plain and the High Atlas Mountains to the north, all the way to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in the south.  From the peak, you’ll head back down the mountain and return to Marrakesh via Imill.

Fantastic, challenging experience

We really lucked out with our guide, Mohammed, who set a great pace up the mountain. His knowledge, skills and adaptability really made the trip something special. Toubkal is a challenging climb in two days, but the great food stop at the shrine half way up and the refuge at base camp really helped. Seeing the sunrise at 4000m was a magical, once in a lifetime experience This is a highly recommended trip.

Unique experience

Unfortunately, the ascent to the summit was not possible due to the weather, rain, wind and snow. Were too poorly equipped. Hiking sticks and headlamps would still be recommended in winter. But it was great in the base camp. Super nice people and an amazing experience ... our guide Mohammed was just great, attentive and looked after us well. Only we were charged too much for the rental of the crampons, but didn't want to get into any discussion ... but ultimately we didn't care about ea. Because it was a great experience on the whole.

The journey was just awesome. If yo are in a medium shape I would totally recommend to do this tour, since you will experience This county from its best side. The tour was perfectly prepared: pick up, etc. Furthermore the food at the Refugee was great, even though you wouldn’t expect it. I would do it again!
