Full description

Discover Ouarzazate and Zagora on this 2-day trip from Marrakech. Visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou fortress and admire stunning views of the Atlas mountains. Ride camel through the Sahara during the sunset. Savor a local dinner and breakfast and stay overnight in a tent at the Zagora dunes.

Day 1:

Begin with early-morning pickup from Marrakech. Travel through the dessert sandstone city of Ouarzazate. Stop at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where you will have free time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continue to the verdant Draa Valley, which is well-known for its amazing ksour and kasbah. Head to Zagora and make your way to the windswept dunes for a sunset camel ride. Make camp at a campsite in the Zagora dunes and enjoy a hearty dinner of local flavors.

Day 2:

Wake early morning for a typical Berber breakfast before watching the sunrise from the back of your camel in the dunes. Board the bus and take the road back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains.

The experience, as a whole, was great. Sure, the drive from Marrakech to Zagora îs long, 8-10hours with stops, but the scenery îs amazing. Ait Ben-Haddou was great, and the fact that we had a guide helped a lot. Aldo, don't but head scarfs for the desert, you won't need them. The desert experience was unique. The berbers are great people, funny, likeable. Good food and great Tea. The camel rides are bumpy, but nice. And the camels are really friendly. IT was a bit cold în the tents, but for one night, was worth the experience.

Very nice experience! You will spend a lot of time in the car, but the driver stops very often and you get to see different parts of the country. If you have time to go more than one night, go for it, but we didn't have a lot of time and this trip was the best option and I totally recommend it! The driver was friendly and the guide in the desert was an extremely nice person. The only negative thing is the lack of choices for the meals during the day, and it is clear that they increase the prices just for the tourists.

It was a great experience in the desert, the bus trip was really long but we acrossed beautiful landscapes so worth it. Unfortunately there was no possibility to go for a walk or a hiking in the stone deserts or in the mountains, instead of visiting the city it would be better to get in touch with the unique natural formations. By the way, it was a really good activity, the bus driver and the touris guides were nice and well prepared, the camelride is a must have experience. The only negative is that the meeting time was fixed at 7.20 and the bus arrived at 8.15 in the moorning so we waited for more than an hour in the cold, dark meeting point,
