  • Marrakesh: Arabic Calligraphy Class

    1. Marrakesh: Arabic Calligraphy Class

Enhance your trip to Marrakesh with an authentic calligraphy class taught by a local. Join Noureddine, an experienced artist who has taught many hundreds of people the art of old and modern calligraphy during his 40 year career. At his traditional workshop in the heart pf Marrakesh, spend 4 hours learning and practicing the skill of calligraphy. Whether you’re making your first calligraphy strokes, or expanding your skill set, the class is suitable for anyone with a love for creativity. In the class, cover the different style of writing letters, and learn how to create beautifully flowing words. There’s also time to enjoy some local Moroccan pastries and share a cup of tea with your host as you engage in some friendly conversation and explore the workshop.

Excellent opportunity to learn sitting next to a master in a small group situation. He was able to teach to our interest and also to our ability. I learnt so much, coming away feeling inspired and grateful for the privilege of the opportunity provided.

Fantastic experience! Perfect one day trip outside of Marrakech, getting to see an Argan Oil Cooperative (Not mentioned in the description—so glad we got to do it!), the Atlas Mountains, a waterfall, the desert…the camel ride was a little bit of a letdown (they took you in a circle around the ranch area, with all the camels tied together, and a guide leading it, but the guide didn’t talk at all or give interesting data about the camels; we just walked, very slowly, in silence in a big circle) but still cool to see the camels and ride. Abdul was a fantastic driver/guide for the day. Fun, funny, knowledgeable, and kind. Ibrahim was also a good guide for the hiking portion. The vehicle was also nice and comfortable. Bottled water was said to be included, but was only received at lunch; it would have been nice to have in the car and/or for the hike. We would totally choose this tour again!!

We had an awesome day!! Our driver Hassan was incredibly friendly and gave us some great information as well as served as an awesome DJ throughout the day! The hike in Imlil was fantastic, great views and a very attentive guide, Ibrahim, who always made sure everyone was fine and gave us enough time to catch our breaks. Lunch in a local restaurant was accompanied by an amazing view of the Atlas mountain and the dromedary ride in traditional Berber clothes did not disappoint! Absolutely would recommend! 10/10 price-performance ratio

The driver Mohammed was really nice, and he drove very safely. The guides were great and funny during the trip, they share a lot about their culture and personal life or opinion so it was good to exchange with them. And of course, we enjoyed to be in the Sahara with the camels who are in good health, and loved. Even if the road can be exhausted, if you want to have stars in your eyes thanks to these wonderful safari desert, goooo!

This trip was well organized, so prompt and there has not been any waste of time. The driver was so professional, careful, and taking care of us. Even I booked another trip after this trip, I cancelled it because this trip was already enough to have many experiences from culture to nature from meals to adventure. So, very satisfied with this trip and highly recommend it!

It was really an unique experience that you must have it once in a lifetime. We were lucky to have Said as our driver. He was a very kind man who teached us a lot about Berbers culture, and the history behind all of the places we visited. I definitely recommend him not only as your driver but as a tour guide. Shukran Said!
