They will also teach you directly on the beach how to fly your kite. The next step is to go into the water to control your kite while your body drags through the water. Once you control this you will move to the next step, which will be getting on to the board to experience your first meters of kiting. It will then be time to work on your posture and stance to extend your ride on the board even more. If you’ve already got some kite surfing experience, the lesson will be tailored to your level. You will be able to explain to your instructor your experience, and receive the appropriate advice on how to further develop your skills.

Take a full-day private trip to Essaouira, one of Morocco’s most attractive coastal towns. Admire its undeniable charm, with whitewashed and blue shuttered houses, art galleries, wood workshops, fishermen and colorful boats, all enclosed by ancient red walls. Your private tour starts with pickup at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Depart Marrakech, driving through lush valleys filled with orange groves, ancient olive trees, and working farms. Stop at Chichaoua for a coffee or snack at Cafe Afoulki. Continue past your first Argan trees. These special trees are valued for their nutritive, cosmetic, and medicinal properties. A relic species from the Tertiary Period, it is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally difficult conditions of southwestern Morocco and, while now endangered, under the protection of UNESCO. Arrive in Essaouira and wander the ancient streets, where it’s easy to imagine life before you. The streets have a Portuguese feel after they renamed the city in the 16th century and used it as a port city of their own. Dine on fish straight from the sea at any number of local restaurants, and ride a camel on the beach. After some free time to explore on your own, return to Marrakech for drop-off at your hotel or riad.

Visit one of the local female co-operatives to see the production of the famous Moroccan Argan oil. On arrival to Essaouira, your guide will choose the best surf spot for your ability. After a lunch break, you get to explore the city with your guide and check out the fishing port, Scala and the old town with its Thuya wood workshops.  Depart Essaouira at approximately 4:00 pm and enjoy the beauty of the drive back to Marrakesh.

Begin your 2-hour windsurfing adventure at the local partner's water sports store. Meet your guide for the day and start your lesson with all the necessary equipment you'll need for your experience. Then, head onto the beach where the real fun begins. If you’re a beginner, learn about the safety aspects and develop an understanding of the wind with your guide. They will also teach you directly on the beach how to fly your sail. If you’ve already got some windsurfing experience, the lesson will be tailored to your level. Explain your experience to your instructor and receive the appropriate advice on how to further develop your skills. Next, go into the water to control your windsurf while your body drags through the water. Once you control this, move on to the next step, which will be getting on to the board to experience your first meters of windsurfing. Work on your posture and stance to extend your ride on the board even more until the end of the lesson.

Departure is from Marrakesh at 08:00 to Essaouira. On the way you will stop at the small female co-op to see the production of Argan oil. On arrival to Essaouira you will hit the surf for your first 2-hour surf lesson. After that you will have a lunch break followed by a sightseeing tour of the Scala and old town with its Thuya wood workshops. After your busy day you will stay overnight and relax in a Riad. The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, you will head to Sidi Kaouki for the second lesson, another beautiful town just south of Essouria. Enjoy your lunch in a cozy restaurant with a panoramic view of the beach, and then head back to Marrakesh through Essaouira for a spot of shopping or a cafe break along the way. Departure to Marrakesh is at around 17:00.
