Experience true Hawaiian-style touring while learning about Hawaiian culture, history, myths and legends from a knowledgeable and fun local guide. Start your day with a light breakfast of fresh fruit and locally made pastries. Then begin your Maui adventure along the road to Hāna, from town to country, through valleys and rainforests. Wind along the spectacular coastline through 617 curves and across 54 one-lane bridges.   Stop for photo opportunities along the route, which will take you past beautiful coastline, spectacular waterfalls and remarkable cliffs. You will also have the chance to cool off and have a swim at one of Hawaii’s unique white, red, and black beaches.   After a laid-back Tahitian BBQ lunch, dive deeper into the island’s soul and traverse Maui's rural and unpaved "other side," stopping at small towns and villages. 10 hour trip does not sound fun BUT LET ME TELL YOU, this is a tour you have to do! I would recommend early in your stay so you know what places to visit during the rest of your stay. Our tour guide KAMMY was the BEST tour guide (this was our 4th tour in the island). Kammy told us about the cultural history of Hawaii, always with a smile and full of energy, paced the food and snacks so that we would stay full the whole day. The lunch was fantastic! We had Hawaiian bbq chicken (with choices of steak, chicken or pork) but we picked chicken and it was delicious, freshly made, Kammy dipped us off at the black sand beach and let us enjoy our time while he went to get our food. I wish for everyone to have just as great as a trip we had. Once again, I think Kammy or Sam (English name) made all the difference for us, we truly enjoyed the scenery but also the Hawaiian culture. Highly recommend!!

Sam was an incredible host ! We had a great time. Would 100% recommend. The excursion went an hour and half over which was a little too long, but only because our guide was so kind and excited to show us so many areas. During COVID make sure to remind your host that you’re most comfortable if everyone keeps there mask on all the time.

I highly recommend this excursion.Everything was wonderful but the gem of the experience was Eric. He is an incredible guide. Eric is very knowledgeable about the history of Maui and Hawaii. I loved every minute of the excursion because of his expertise. Also, I felt very safe with him driving, and it’s a big deal considering the roads towards Hana. Eric, thank you very much for the incredible journey to Hana.
