A visit to the exhibition is worthwhile for "The Girl with the Pearl Earring" alone. For me, this work is even more impressive than the Mona Lisa. But there was also something special about seeing the original Rembrandt works. As an exhibition space, the Mauritshuis itself offers a wonderfully adequate setting for the pictures. A very nice highlight of The Hague Tour and highly recommended.

This is a small museum in a beautiful mansion. The paintings are of the highest quality - Vermeer's "Girl With a Pearl Earring," Rembrandt's stunning final self portrait, Fabritius' "The Goldfinch," along with Rubens, Van Dyck, and greatest masters of still life. More masterpiece's per square foot than any other museum. Just gorgeous.

Basically, the visit to the museum was interesting. Unfortunately, the booked audio guide didn't work. It would also have been nicer if so many school classes hadn't run around stressed out and in between. Special dates for school classes would certainly be more pleasant for the students and other visitors.
