What people are saying about Megalochori

A successful day with many highlights. The La Ponta symposium in particular was worthwhile, because everyone could play an active part on "their" instrument. The walks to be made to the castles were not difficult to manage for people without physical disabilities. Only the enjoyment of the sunset in Oia was neglected due to the numerous tourists. It is also advisable to take a warm shirt with you because of the temperatures and the wind in the evening. All in all a very well organized day with a tour guide who was able to provide a lot of information and responded to the needs of the excursion participants. The number of participants was also well chosen for this type of excursion.

We were picked up from nearest reachable point to our hotel in the caldera and dropped back later on time Nice transit vehicles with Mercedes’ mini vans Good knowledgeable guides all thru Climb to the volcano top was a bit difficult but can be done with occasional stops for breath I saw even seniors doing the climb slowly, just wear proper hiking or walking shoes Saw some folks returning after some time due to improper footwear, lot of gravel. There was no time for lunch, so pack something that u can eat on your return boat trip from the volcano Akrotiri was good along with9D volcano show at the lost Atlantis

This tour was great as was our tour guide/driver Gregory. He was on time for pick up. He drove that van like a pro. He told us so many interesting stories about the history of Santorini as well as some insights into modern day Santorini society. Audio in the van was good (loud and clear) and I'm somewhat hard of hearing. The winery we visit had the most amazing sweet dessert wine that I had to buy a bottle (and I'm not a wine person at all). The castles and their ruins were so interesting so see. Definitely take this tour, with Gregory if possible, to get a better appreciation for Santorini.

A visit in small groups (maximum 15 visitors) Support at the hotel very appreciable! Gregoris made us discover places a little off the beaten track and brought us lots of directions. We were delighted with this tour.

The tour was very nice, the guide gave us very valuable information about the place.
