Meet the Locals

Day1: Fes, Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, Meknes, Chefchaouen Starting with a pickup from your hotel, drive to Meknes to discover the monuments with your driver. Take a tour to see the ancient walls with monumental gates dating back to the 17th century. Learn about Bab Mansour, Bab Khemis, El Heri es-Souan, huge granaries and stables built by Moulay Ismail's and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Place-El-Hedim great monumental.   Have a break for lunch, then stop at Moulay Idris's, a city built by Moulay Idriss the first. Enjoy the panoramic view that surrounds this great place. Your last stop is Volubilis, where you can visit well preserved Roman ruins in North Africa, while learning about the historical and cultural Roman city with a local guide. Enjoy some free time to discover the place and capture photos. Then you will have a transfer to Chefchaouen for your night stay. Day 2: Chefchaouen Day Tour then Fes  Spend half a day exploring Chefchaouen as you please. You'll have free time to stroll the blue narrow alleys alone since the city is easy to navigate. Take this time time shop around for souvenirs. Then after lunch, you will be driven back to Fes and dropped off at your hotel or accommodation.

Day 1 : Casablanca Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will visit the city, including a visit to the Hassan II mosque, one of the world’s biggest mosques, as well as the districts of Sqala and Habous.  Day 2 : Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis The next morning you will journey to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. Visit the Royal Palace, the Ouadaya Gardens Kasbah and the Hassan Tower Mosque. After lunch, you'll be driven to the Berber town of Meknes. Explore the intricate gateways, beautiful gardens and at 40-meter high city wall. Next is the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Dating back to AD 40, Volubilis is home to some of the most impressive Roman ruins in North Africa. You'll finish the day with a short drive to the medieval city of Fez. Day 3 : Fez After breakfast you will begin a guided tour of the Fes, one of the world’s largest walled cities. Explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricate Berber carpets and many other local crafts. For lunch you may choose to eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch, you will continue the tour to visit the King’s Palace and then the famous tanneries. Day 4 : Ouzoud Waterfalls After an early breakfast, you will depart for Marrakech via the Ouzoud Waterfalls. The beautiful drive will take you up into the Middle Atlas Mountains and along the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you'll make a short stop in Ifrane to enjoy a walk along the cascades. Relax to the sound of the falls, enjoy a picnic lunch or visit one of the many cafés and restaurants. After a restful and relaxing afternoon, you’ll head to Marrakech.  Day 5 : Marrakech Today's tour of Marrakech begins with a trip to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, home to the minaret which has become a symbol of the city. You will then visit the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. Then, experience traditional Arabic craftsmanship in the lively souks around Jemaa El Fna square. Home to many different types of traders, these bustling and aromatic streets are uniquely Moroccan. After lunch break, you head to the Majorelle Gardens & Menara Garden. Day 6 : Marrakech to Casablanca Transfer Your last day of travel will be in Marrakech. Free time will be given in the morning if you want to do some final shopping in Marrakech before being driven back to Casablanca in the afternoon.

Your tour will begin as you are picked up at 10.00AM from your accommodation in Fes. From there you will start driving through the magnificent changing landscapes of the Moroccan countryside. Your first stop will be to the mesmerizing Chahed River, a beautiful landscape with captivating views. From there you will advance towards Volubilis, the ancient Roman Ruins which date back to the 3rd century B.C. Once there you will be able to glimpse the old Roman Empire, and admire the captivating architecture and majestic designs while taking some pictures of Arch of Caracalla. Your second stop will be to Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a sacred little village in which you can enjoy some free time to go into the deep history of the beautiful town, the home of Idriss I. He was the first Moroccan ruler, and was the one who brought Islam to Morocco. Here you will be able to walk through the ancient windy streets whilst admiring the beautiful architecture. Afterwards, you will explore "Meknes", whose historical 17th-century heritage provides the perfect location to enjoy a tour through the old city to discover the huge walls of the old Medina and see the most breathtaking handicrafts and traditional small shops. Next, you will discover the fascinating gate of Bab El Mansour, a magnificent gateway which is well preserved with lavish "zellige" (Moroccan mosaic tile work). In addition, you will visit Moulay Ismail’s shrine to receive an insight into his interesting life and everlasting achievements. You will also visit fascinating historical sites, such as the Mausoleum and the Rouah, as well as the royal stables (which hold over 12,000 horses). You will later explore Place el-Hedim, which is a central pedestrian square in the Medina. Following an unforgettable tour, you will be returned back to your accommodation in Fes.

Head off to the Djemaa el-Fna, the centre square of the medina. Take a trip to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, home to the minaret which has become a symbol of the city. Head to the coastal city of Casablanca. Walk around the Habous district with its small squares and maze-like narrow streets. Explore the colourful Habous Quarter, the Mehkma (Tribunal), the Notre Dame de Lourdes Cathedral and the famous Hassan II Mosque. Journey to the capital Rabat and visit the Royal Palace, Ouadaya Gardens Kasbah and the Hassan Tower Mosque. Drive to the Berber town of Meknes, before taking a short drive to the mediaeval city of Fez. Begin your guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. Visit foundouk Najjarine which houses the ‘Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts. See the Qaraouiyine mosque, which is both a university and a mosque situated in the heart of the Medina. Depart with a drive back to Marrakech via the Ouzoud Waterfalls, leading up to the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you can walk down along the cascades. Enjoy free strolling and shopping time in the old medina on your final day before departure at the airport.

Spend three days departing from, and returning to, your accommodation in Fes. Take day-trips to Chefchaouen and Meknes, seeing the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites of Fes El Bali and Volubilis. Day 1:Benefit from a transfer from the airport, train station, or bus station to your hotel when you arrive, or simply begin your adventure into Moroccan culture from your accommodation in Fes. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Fes El Bali, an ancient walled medina. Follow your tour guide through the narrow streets, full of fresh fruits, exotic spices, and intricately woven Berber fabrics. See the Mosque and University Karaouiyn and Nejjarine Fondouk. Make a stop at Dar Batha, a former royal palace of the city converted into a museum. Indulge in the sweet scents of incense at the souk of spice traders and finish your day at the ornate Blue Gate. Day 2:Get picked up from your hotel and embark on a trip to Chefchaouen. Make two stops on the way, at a picturesque dam in a stunning landscape, and at a viewing point by the entrance to Chefchaouen, admiring a scene of the whole city. Spend some free time exploring Chefchaouen. Head to the old town to see the breathtaking blue-washed buildings, or discover the peaceful local shops and cafes. Take a walk through the streets and find a place to eat, before driving back in the afternoon to Fes. Day 3:On your journey to Meknes, make a stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Volubilis, a partly excavated Berber-Roman city. Arrive in Meknes, the former imperial city, and enjoy a lunch break. Begin your guided tour of Meknes after lunch, viewing the monumental Bab Berdieyinne, the northern gate of the medina. Continue to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, a major historic and religious site. See artifacts and artwork held within the Dar Jamai Museum, before driving back to Fes.
