1. From Fes or Meknes: Rabat Sightseeing Private Day Trip

The day begins with pickup from your accommodation in Fes or Meknes and travels via the highway to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. As you enter the city, admire views of the coastline and the distinctive red walls which line 5 km of the capital. Follow your guide through the Medina and into one of the city’s most authentic souks. Wander though the colorful stalls, soaking up the unique sights, smells, and sounds that surround you while mingling with the locals going about their day. Next, visit the Oudayas Kasbah, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Listed site which dates back to the twelfth century. Later, head to the Hassan Tower to marvel at its four facades, decorated in shades of pink and gray. After the tower, see the remains of the Old Mosque and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, a masterpiece of traditional Moroccan architecture which is home to an array of valuables. From here, travel to the Royal Palace where you can learn about the king of the Merinides dynasty. Once you’ve worked up a bit of an appetite, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before the return journey to your accommodation.

The trip is definitely worth it if you study a bit in advance about Volubilis and why Moulay Idriss is a relevant city in Marocco. There are tour guides in Volubilis, however the Museum entrance is under renovation. Moulay Idriss is nice for a couple of photos and a visit lasted 30 mins. Unfortunately Meknes is being renovated extensively, this means very little of the many important buildings are closed. On the negative side, our driver was not aware about the works on the street and we drove a good 45 mins unnecessarily, and again 30 minutes to leave Meknes… a pity with could have been resolved easily

Volubilis is absolutely stunning!! Words can't describe the amazing mosaics that are still intact and the magnificent ruins. We soend an hour but we'd have prefer to stay longer. The second stop was the village of Moulay Zerhoun which we found not interesting, except for the view from the mountain. The last stop is Meknes. Do not miss the mausoleum! The architecture is fascinating. Most of the attractions are under renovation till 2023. We felt lucky to have Athmane as our guide for the day. He is knowledgeable, listens well and he answered all our questions. Thank you very much!

Fabulous!! Excellent organization and exceptional work by Ismail, always very professional and kind. It perfectly provided us with the necessary time to enjoy each part (place) of the trip! Really good!

Volubilis is a must see and Meknes is quite amazing. Enjoyed the lunch we had in Meknes.

Volubilis was EXTREMELY interesting. Z Moulay Idriss does not.
