Full description
Depart Melbourne Central Business District and pass over the mighty Westgate Bridge as you make your way through the western suburbs of the city towards western Victoria. Journey through the Victorian goldfields of the 1850s and take a short break in the quaint country town of Beaufort for morning tea.  Approach Grampians National Park and get an appreciation of what makes the giant mountain range so spectacular as it appears from the surrounding flat plains. Marvel at Mt. William as you get your first glimpse of the park, and then go to the Brambuk Aboriginal Culture Center to learn about the art, heritage and 6 seasons of the Grampians as described by the indigenous people. Discover an abundance of kangaroos resting in the areas around the center. Next, make your way into the heart of the park, and enter the small township of Halls Gap. Enjoy a picnic lunch with snacks set between 2 of the most spectacular ranges of the Grampians before the drive into the Mt. Difficult range. Take in the breathtaking views of the plains of western Victoria from Boroka Lookout, before walking to the geological icon of the Balconies, featured in the Japanese animation "Princess Mononoke." Continue to the base of the majestic Mackenzie Falls, and follow a series of more than 250 stairs to the bottom of the cascades to cool off and relax. As the sun begins to set, keep an eye out for large mobs of kangaroos that call the area home before your return journey to Melbourne.

Lizy was a great guide. She told us interesting information and history about the place, aboriginal people. She has bright, happy energy and made my day great even though people was bit shy and calm. Pianacle track wasn’t tough so It’s good to go with kids. There are more than 250 stairs on the way to Mckenzie falls, it was quite hard when we came back from there. Recommend you to wear a sneakers. And we saw a few wild animals, wallaby and kangaroos! Definitely worth to go.

    Great day.

Great day. Super organization. Nice, funny, great driver and guide. The driver was great. We had problems with the bus on the way back and had to make a few stops. The driver still kept his nerve and made the waiting time as pleasant as possible for us. The whole trip was nice. Of course, it's a long day's drive from Melbourne. If you have more time, you should plan 2-3 days, then you can also hike more and enjoy the view. But we had a great lunch that day. An hour hike, visited a great waterfall and enjoyed great viewpoints over the national park.

    GOOD, 3 stars

very interesting afternoon. But the Ross guide was not very friendly. Do the minimum and not really integrated into the group. The iPhone in French did not work, too bad it would have explained the sites I visited. Lunch was half a pizza, on a table (24 tourists in the group). The guide did not look for a nicer place. If the site is worth the trip, on the other hand AUTOPIA did not convince me. Besides the guide not nice, the minibus was not comfortable, the shock absorbers must be dead for a long time and there are many holes on the road, I think that the guide did not miss a single one !. To have done the day before the Great ocean road excursion with go west, there are no photos (to speak colloquially). I would not recommend AUTOPIA. On the other hand, your site is very good, the information given is correct, no unpleasant surprises. Thank you. cordially
