Gran Canaria: Surfing Safari Course in Meloneras

1. Gran Canaria: Surfing Safari Course in Meloneras

After choosing to venture to the beach on your own or with the transport service that is included with your reservation (for those guests who are staying in the south of the island), you can gather with the group at the tour meeting point at the Meloneras Shopping Centre, where the surf school is located. Once there, your guide will provide you with a high-quality surfboard, before taking you to the beach where the course will take place. Throughout your course you will learn not only learn to surf with good technique, but also to have plenty of fun while you do it. Lessons are given in small groups of up to 8 people, so that you will receive all the attention you need and thus ensure a quality service. This particular lesson has a duration of 4 hours, and you will at all times have a qualified monitor to assist you with everything you need.

We did not use the transport, so I cannot give a rating on this. Basically, of course, the whole thing is very dependent on the actually existing waves. We were lucky so we had great fun too and would definitely recommend it. Just don't expect to be able to surf properly after the one-day course. For us it worked to a certain extent at the end of the 2nd day (booked separately on site).

I would have liked a little more time in the water ... of the 4 hours we weren't two in the water, but maybe it was also because the waves were just very flat today and therefore the conditions were not ideal. The instructions were okay so far, sometimes a bit difficult to hear ... but all in all a successful course

Was very nice. There is a lot of practice in the water and the trainer gives good tips on how to stay on the board. In the description, however, it would be good if it says that two hours are surfed and the four hours are in total;) the time is completely sufficient, but the information is rather confusing

Very good experience, I have learned a lot. The fuías are very close and entertaining. I recommend wearing flip flops or slippers to the water.

Reiko was an amazing instructor. Very friendly and encouraging. Just what you need as a beginner. I would reccomend him!
