The essential water to irrigate this wine region comes from the melting of mountain rivers, turning an arid zone into an oasis. The pure water used in the irrigation of this region is responsible for producing lower levels of PH in the grape. Other factors such as the thermal amplitude can also change acidity. All these characteristics explain why the wines of the Valle de Uco region have such intense colors and flavors. You have the option to choose between three different experiences. See the modern barrel room where wines mature and rest, have the chance to taste wines directly from the tank, and discover the strengths and secrets of the wine making process. Finally, join the brewmaster in charge of making craft beer, an industry that is expanding in Mendoza and Argentina. Listen as your hosts explain the recipes and secrets in their factory near the capital city. Then, finish the tour by tasting exquisite beers paired with cold meats and regional cheeses.

Start with a two-hour drive to the beginning of the trek in the Andes front range called "Cordon del Plata". On the way, you will be able to see the Cacheuta Village and Potrerillos dam. Part of the Front Range, the "Cordon del Plata", has a maximum altitude of 5968m, a length of 80 kilometers and it is home to an incredible variety of landscapes. The trek is along one of its ravines called "La Angostura", with an approximate duration of 3 and a half hours during which you will be able to enjoy the views of Potrerillos dam, the pre-mountain range area and of some of the highest peaks in the Range. If you are lucky, you will be able to spot some "condors" and "guanacos" since it is their natural habitat. When finishing the hike, you will be welcomed by a typical Argentinean "asado" and wine from the region.

Around 02:30 pm, we will pick you up from your hotel in Mendoza and head towards the first winery. These circuits are developed among vineyards in the departments of Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, where we will get in touch with the work culture of the first inhabitants, whom by using irrigation techniques (canals and ditches), managed to change a vast desert into a productive oasis. Here we can find prestigious wineries that represent Argentinian wines in the world, with its high quality wines. We will visit wineries that use both traditional methods and also the latest available technology, guided by professionals staff in the wine making process. We will be shown the methods used for making bottling and labeling the wines. To make the most of this experience, at each visit we will have a tasting of their wines. We will also visit an olive grove, where can observe the olive oil process and try it. After the tour, your guide will take you back to your hotel.
