What people are saying about Mgarr

Our experience was fantastic. It was both our first time in Malta and I can say it was a good one. Our trip in the boat was a blast, cocktails and good music to accompany. The captain was friendly and informative as went though the scenic tour of the Maltese islands. Once we landed at the blue lagoon, we had an opportunity to also go on a speedboat ride which I would highly recommend! There was also an option to do the tour of Gozo which we opted against as we had other thing planned for the time allocated. The feedback from those who went were that it was good and informative. We decided to stay at the lagoon and took part in jet skiing and crazy sofa and catching some sun…. It does get quite busy when you land but luckily we could relax back on the boat as a base also… overal I would throughly recommend and for the price also you can’t go wrong

Last minute booking with my family (2 young kids of 2 and 5 years old). The communication with Hornblower cruises right from the start was fantastic. They picked us with minibus from Sliema and took us to Bugibba. The host and all other staff were fantastic on board - food and drinks available at an extra cost. There is an option to take a speedboat tour to the caves for €15 pp for 25 mins - HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing this (kids under 5 are free) This without a doubt made the trip!! This meant out stopover in Blue Lagoon was 1 hour - loads of food/drinks shacks along the lagoon. Departed for Gozo - 1st stop in Xlendi Bay for 30mins allows enough time to walk around and take pics. Then stopped in Victoria for 1.5 hours - enough time to eat and visit the main square. Felt it was sufficient time. All in all, the entire tour was executed extremely well!

Despite very windy weather which prevented us from accessing the roof-top of the boat and the bay of the blue lagoon, the day was delicious! The on-board staff are very pleasant, funny and helpful and go out of their way to make the excursion pleasant despite the limitation of activity due to the weather. The size of the boat makes the excursion "on a human scale" (about thirty people on board out of the 46 it can accommodate, it was perfect!) A little extra for Bob Marley lovers Go ahead and enjoy!

The experience was amazing - really enjoyed seeing all that the Blue Lagoon, the Caves and Gozo had to offer in addition to learning about the history of landmarks around Malta. Refreshments were on board such as snacks, hot food and a stocked bar.

The captain was very experienced and took us to incredible spots on comino. The water was the best I’ve ever seen.
