Visit the cradle of democracy and explore one of the most important sites of the antiquity, the birthplace of philosophy. The ancient agora was the commercial, political and financial heart of ancient Athens and is the place where Socrates, Plato and many world-known philosophers walked and taught their thinking. You will visit the Hephaestus Temple, the best preserved Greek Temple from the 5th century BC and you will see the wonderful church of the 12 Apostles, the Temple of Apollo Patroos, the Stoa of Zeus, the Altar of Zeus. With the input of your knowledgeable guide, the ancient stones will come alive. Then your licensed guide will take you to the Attalos Museum, which is worthwhile visiting as it houses artifacts of great historical value.
We took this 90 min tour on our last day in Athens to basically fill in time. Am so glad we did as we would never have visited the Ancient Agora or area if we hadn’t. Dorina was a fabulous guide explaining the history of the area and the ruins. After walking up to Hephaestus Temple we went to the Attalos museum where relics of the area are on display. After the tour was finished you could stay and continue to look around on your own. Highly recommend. (Tip: make sure you go to the Ancient Agora to meet and not the Roman Agora.
Discover both ancient and modern Athens on this tour. First, you will head to the Acropolis, which - along with its Parthenon - is the most important ancient site in the Western world. You need around one hour to visit the Acropolis and Parthenon (in high season calculate an hour and a half). After this, you will take a panoramic tour around all of Athens' most important monuments. You will have the opportunity to visit, stop, and take pictures at: the Temple of Zeus, Panathenaic Stadium, National Library, the Greek Parliament with the changing of the guards, and Ancient Agora/Roman Agora. You can also choose to stop for shopping, souvenirs, or a walk in famous areas like the Plaka old city area, the Monastiraki area, Ermou street shopping center, or Varvakeios central food market. Next, you will drive 10km south from the center of Athens to the port city of Piraeus. This is the bigges...

Buying this ticket was very useful since with it, you could enter the most visited tourist attractions and also, you avoided queuing to buy the ticket.
Awe inspiring to see the architectural remains of the foundations of democracy.
