We depart from Lucerne train station and follow the free-car cycle trails. This beautiful and relaxed trail will take you along the lake passing by many public beaches and lake clubs. The view of the Swiss alps in the backdrop is simply breathtaking. We travel a distance of 16 kms/10 miles on battery-assisted pedalling e-bikes which enables everyone with a “normal level of physical fitness” to enjoy this experience. In summer hot days you will find idyllic places for a picnic and swimming. We start this panoramic tour right at the heart of Lucerne city. We ride through the new part of the city along the former railway tracks which now is a cycling and pedestrian highway. Continue your ride enjoying views of the Sport area and local gardens. Follow the trail along the lakeshore and admire wonderful views of the Pilatus, Rigi, Stanserhorn, Bürgenstock and the local vineyards. Along the lake we encounter numerous bathing places which are popular in the summer, the perfect place for a picnic or a break just to enjoy the alpine views. The tour continues with a series of ups and downs. The imposing villas form a marked contrast to the agricultural areas and farms along the road. We stop by one of the most popular lake beaches where locals cool off in hot summer days. We continue towards Lucerne train station where we will end the tour.

Start the day off with a train ride from the Lucerne train station to Goldau, where you will transfer to the Mt. Rigi cogwheel train, and then to the aerial tram, to reach the starting point of your hike at the 1,661-meter high Rigi Scheidegg. The panoramic views and the symphony of cow bells in the summer months provide the perfect ambiance, and served as the inspiration from Mark Twain's 1880 book, “A Tramp Abroad." Midway through the hike, stop for lunch at a typical Alpine restaurant or bring your own to enjoy at a nearby meadow. After lunch, continue hiking through undulating meadows to reach the modern facilities of the newly opened Mineralbad & Spa at Rigi Kaltbad, designed by internationally renowned architect, Mario Botta. Take the cogwheel train up to the top of Mount Rigi to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views over the lakes and mountains, and then descend by foot back to the Rigi Kaltbad. End the tour with a scenic 40-minute boat cruise across Lake Lucerne, returning to the Lucerne train station by 6:47 PM.

A driver will take from any convenient destination for you in Zurich. You will start your private transfer from Zurich to Lucerne: your driver guide will lead you to the historical and must see places like the Chapel Bridge, Water Tower, Lion Monument, Jesuit Church and Old city squares. Afterwards you can have some break in one of the finest cafes in old city, near the lakeside or in the modern one as per your preferences. When you have already enjoyed your short break, your driver guide will lead you to Weggis, from where you will take a boat to Vitznau. Vitznau is the place, where you will take aerial cable car to mount Rigi admiring majestic sights of Bernese Alps in line with Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau. At the evening you will have your return transfer back to Zurich.
