Start the day off with a train ride from the Lucerne train station to Goldau, where you will transfer to the Mt. Rigi cogwheel train, and then to the aerial tram, to reach the starting point of your hike at the 1,661-meter high Rigi Scheidegg. Midway through the hike, stop for lunch at a typical Alpine restaurant or bring your own to enjoy at a nearby meadow.
