I bought the 48 hour pass but only used one day. I was able to fit in 2 of the 3 routes. The City Tour route is deceptive. Most of what I saw was walkable but only learned that after the fact. The bus can only travel through major roads. As with most of these bus tours, it is a good way to get your bearings right from the start.

there are 2 lines - red and blue which cover most of Berlin's main attractions. red line will approx take 2 hours to complete. i didn't manage to try the blue line anymore. i wish i had taken the walking tour but just couldn't make it if you rely on the hop on hop off bus alone to take you to the destination on time. i like that there's a free curry wurst hotdog and river cruise included. must do when in town!

Great hop on hop off tour. Interesting information and you get to see the main sights in Munich. We ended up going round twice as we enjoyed seeing everything! Went on the bus on our first day in Munich and were able to plan other activities for our trip from there.
