  • From Rome: Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius Volcano Full-Day Trip

    1. From Rome: Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius Volcano Full-Day Trip

Travel from Rome to Pompeii in an air-conditioned private coach, accompanied all the way by your expert tour coordinator. Benefit from skip-the-line entry and enjoy a self-guided visit around the ancient city. Throughout the ruins, you’ll come across death casts: plaster recreations of unfortunate citizens preserved by the superheated volcanic ash. After visiting Pompeii, the coach will take you up the slope of Mt. Vesuvius (from April to mid-November), one of Europe’s few active volcanoes located in the Vesuvius National Park. From here, take a short hike up to the steaming crater for stunning views of Capri and Sorrento. During the winter season between November and March, Mt. Vesuvius is closed, so your tour will follow the coastline and take you to the city of Naples, where you can explore the iconic Castle Nuovo, the famous art deco Umberto I Gallery, or simply wander around th...

Well organized tour and well priced. My only recommendation is to allow more time for Mt. Vesuvius. Having only one hour to climb and descend was not enough time for us to fully aprreciate it.

We got picked up at hour hotel right on time. The vehicle was very comfortable. They had to pick up two other people in their hotel so it was just the four of us. This is the reason I chose this particular tour as it was max six people and also offered pick up and drop off. It cost a lot more than the other tour operators but it is easier to just be picked up and dropped off. We stopped by at a service station to get coffee and breakfast and then drove all the way down to Pompeii and the guide Chiara was giving us some information along the way. After Pompeii we headed down to the Amalfi coast. There was traffic so it kind of took longer to get to Positano when we got there a quick walk down to the beach had lunch had some gelato and then off to the boat to go to Amalfi town. Did some souvenir shopping then back to the van. It was all fast but we had fun. The guide looked after us very very well. I was hesitant to book this tour as it wasn’t cheap but it was worth it. Glad we did it.

  • Capri One Day Trip From Rome with Blue Grotto

    3. Capri One Day Trip From Rome with Blue Grotto

If you love the sun, the sea, nature and lifestyle, let us show you one of the world’s most beautiful islands: Capri. This little treasure of the Mediterranean will amuse you with its typical colours, artisans shops and luxury boutiques. Live an unforgettable day in a splendid environment. Your journey begins by heading south from Rome city and arriving in Naples. Take a panoramic tour of Naples and reach the port. You will board a jet boat for the 45-minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri. You will also have the opportunity to visit the famous Blue Grotto, with its fascinating colored undertone. Discover the amenities of one of the most celebrated island of the Cinema, scene of famous and unforgettable movies. Have a tasty lunch before taking the jet boat to return to Naples and, next, board the coach for your return three hour journey to Rome.

The blue grotto is usually closed! I think it should be advertised as blue grotto or boat ride, so people know what is the option when the grotto is closed! The rest, perfect!

Amazing tour! Tour started on time from Piazza del Popolo. Note: come on time as for the tour guide is realy hard to count and organise all in last minute. We had a short stop on half way from Rome to Pompei in caffe restaurant with a view to Monte Casino hill. In Pompei you're on your own that on one way is good as you have 3h of your free time but I regret that I haven't took on site official guide. Why? We'll in certain moments we were just walking around with no idea where we are or what we are looking. Official guide will show you what you need. Angela was our tour guide who was really great and healpful but her main task was to take us to Pompei and back to Rome. On site she wasn't official guide. This was only minus on this tour but since Pompei are fantastic I still rate this 5. Also after Pompei we we're supposed to go directly on top of Mount Vesuv but due to Vesuc national park idiots we didn't get our tickets. We could only walk 200m below too see a view towards Pompei.

Absolutely loved this tour. We took at bus out to Pompeii where we were given tickets to enter and walk around on your own. There was plenty of time to see everything and our tour guide gave us a map with some key spots to check out. I would recommend getting an audio guide if you're able to. Our tour guide did provide some basic info prior to entering, but since it is not a guided tour inside, we would have liked more information at various points. Overall we still had a great time seeing all of the ruins. There is a good restaurant outside the ruins that you can buy food at prior to boarding the bus to go to Mt. Vesuvius. Mt. Vesuvius was also a neat experience. Be prepared to walk up a steep hill. I would consider us active and fit and it took us about 15-20 minutes to get to the top and we were huffing and puffing! So be prepared for a good workout! But the views are spectacular and you can say then say you were at the top of an active volcano!

We were lucky enough to be accompanied by Anna and Marius on our tour to Pompeii and Vesuvius. Anna was a fantastic tour guide, she provided us with so much information but in a very relaxed and casual manner. Marius navigated the tricky roads of Vesuvius like a gladiator, while we relaxed over the views of Naples & Sorrento. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone I know!

Trip was excellent! Angela and Alessandro were incredibly knowledgeable and made the trip a breeze. The bus driver Gianni demonstrated excellent maneuvering skills even around the most careless of drivers. Only thing to criticize would be not having a bathroom on the bus. Otherwise, excellent!

Anna and the driver were FANTASTIC! I was lucky to sit beside her while the driver expertly drove. She is a wealth of knowledge, was funny and the best tour guide I’ve ever had. I’ve been to France, Germany, Bali, etc and she was the absolute best!
