  • Vienna: 4-Hour Markets, Cafes & Food Tastings With a Local

    1. Vienna: 4-Hour Markets, Cafes & Food Tastings With a Local

You begin your Vienna tour on one of the most famous and attractive shopping streets in the city: The Graben. Home of the court jeweller Heldwein, and the famous porcelain factory of Augarten, the area is littered with imperial architecture, opulent coffee shops, and first-rate eateries. It would be rude not to offer you a coffee before getting started properly, so after your brief stroll, you will stop for a quick coffee and a snack. However, this won't be at one of the famous cafes, because only tourists go there. Instead you will head to one of the few cafes that locals still visit — a proper and still functioning Kulturcafe. To Nasch means "to nibble" and that is exactly what you can do at the Naschmarkt, easily one of Europe’s best open-air markets. It is a mile long and showcases over 120 food stalls and some delectable restaurants that are cooking up some of the...

Wolfi gave us an amazing tour. He showed us places we never would have seen without his guidance! He’s charming and knowledgeable. We even learned how to use the wonderful transit system with him. Don’t miss this tour! It was a perfect intro to Vienna!

After departing from your accommodation, depart for your first stop of the garden gate to the Upper Belvedere. Whilst there, learn how Klimt’s First Kiss highlights the gallery of the palace. Your guide will also explain to your how Klimt's "Schieles an Kokoschkas" illustrates the spirit in Vienna of around 1900. From there, walk down the hill. As you pass the Lower Belvedere, the Baroque is left behind. The Soviet Monument at Schwarzenbergplatz represents the best and worst of Vienna's history. Karlplatz is surrounded by the city’s most impressive Baroque church - St. Charles, one of the world’s best concert halls - Musikverein, and Otto Wagner’s iconic Art Nouveau metro pavilions. What people are saying about Naschmarkt

I liked the guide, she was warm and knowledgeable. It was nice to see the interactions between the guide and the vendors too. You really got a sense of where the locals go to eat and buy food. We got some good tips on this tour and each of the establishments had something unique about them. A lot of places we visited we would not have discovered ourselves. I think the tour represents good value for money and the 4 hours few by. Thanks again for this experience and I would take other tours by this company. Paul.

We have done three tours during our vacation in Vienna, this is the best by far. Did the tour with Kerstin. We have seen places that we will not normally see (district 16). Kerstin provided lot of relevant information on Vienna and the food testing was great. Highly recommended!
