We had visited the Museum of Anthropology years ago and found it amazing, but we didn't feel we had enough time. This time, with a guide, we saw far less of the museum, but we learned a lot more. I would recommend taking the tour, then returning on your own. Give yourself a lot of time. From there, we walked to Chapultapec Castle to continue the tour. We ended after 4 hours (instead of 6) but I think the group was tired and hungry and our brains were full by then. If you are not up for a lot of walking and standing, be sure to mention it while scheduling. There isn't a lunch scheduled, so bring snacks. Our guide allowed us to stop and buy some food and cold drinks in Chapultapec Park, which got us through. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. I really enjoyed gaining a better understanding of the symbols and context for the exhibits.
Excellent from start to finish. I was especially pleased with the guide as she made it a point to translate in English equally even though my wife was the only English only speaker in our group of 12. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like I attended a session of ancient Meso America history and Mexican history. Wish list would have been to have more time at the museum. It was stretched to about 1-1/2. We would have just stayed but we were nearing closing time 5pm.
Lidia was amazing, very informative, showed passion for her culture. Friendly, interesting and easy to get to know and gave us other tips around the area.
The best way to view the museo de antropología and the Castillo de Chapultepec is through this guided tour.
Great guide. Met us on time, handled the ticketing, gave us a great tour with breaks when we wanted.
