Spend the day on the lovely islands of Koufonissi and get an amazing 6 to 8 hours at leisure! Catch the boat from Naxos Town and relax on the 2-hour crossing to Pano Koufonissi, the smallest and most densely populated of the island group. Use your free time to experience the islands as you wish. Relax on the stunning beach in the village of Agios Georgios, find the sandy bays and beaches of the east coast or marvel at the typical architecture of the Cyclades on a stroll through the town center. Visit the uninhabited island of Kato Koufonissi to discover amazing sea caves and rock pools of crystal clear water. Depart Pano Koufonissi in the late afternoon and arrive back at Naxos Town at around 7:00 PM

It was a really nice trip. The sea shines turquoise and the beach yellowish. The water invites you to swim. Several small ships leave from the port to various beaches on the main island and the other islands. A day ticket costs 5 euros and is valid for all Linuen, a kind of hop on hop off. The boats start every 30 minutes. A total round trip takes about 40 minutes. There are several restaurants near the beautiful sandy beach.

We used this excursion to be able to visit Kato Koufonissa. From Naxos to Koufonissa it is about 2 hours of navigation, leaving at 8.45 am we arrived in time to take the 11 o'clock caique (5 euros each for a day ticket, stop at the tavern and at Nero beach). Departure from Koufonissa at 6pm. Experience to be redone, the island of Kato Koufonissa is spectacular, beautiful beaches and a lot of snorkeling! Bring sunscreen because the tavern is the only shelter on the island and the sun is felt.

Island not to be missed perfect for a day tour

Small island with a white beach and Caribbean sea: a must see !! Two hours by boat from Naxos and six hours in freedom to spend on the island. The time is more than enough to see all the beaches and spend time relaxing. Possibility to rent bikes next to the port.
