This was an amazing experience on our honeymoon! My husband and I rode moped's to the family tavern, where the host Anna greeted us and invited us to the table. There were 5 other guests with us and we had a fabulous time! We walked through the farm and cut the veggies we were going to use for cooking. After prepping the meal, learning about the history of the farm, and putting the dishes in the oven - we took our wine and walked along the hiking trail nearby which was stunning. Upon return - we feasted and shared more stories! The food was delicious, the wine was flowing and the conversation was enjoyable - I highly recommend it! My husband and I both agree that this was our top experience during our two-week honeymoon.

We had a wonderful afternoon learning about local history and cuisine with Anna at Taverna Basiliko. It was well worth the trek to the mountainous inland area of Naxos. We recommend messaging Anna directly for precise directions google maps doesn't do the best job of navigating you to your final destination. However, aside from that one note, we would recommend this experience for anyone looking to learn some authentic recipes, drink some great wine, and meet fellow travelers. Yamas!

We can't recommend this enough! We spent a lovely afternoon at the Basiliko taverna, and hosts Anna and her family made us feel very welcome as they showed us around the farm and local walking trails and historic sites. All of the food was amazing, and getting to pick the vegetables we good was a special extra. We will be repeating the recipes at home.
