At Mykonos Town, you can begin your exploration from the picturesque old harbor, a great area with many restaurants and cafes right next to the sea. Continue with the winding alleys of the town and take pictures of the whitewashed houses with their blue windows and colorful bougainvillea. Walk to the neighborhood of Matogiannia, home of chic shops and bars. Discover wonderful jewelry, leather goods, pieces of art and the most famous designer labels on the market. Many people believe that in order to know a place well you need to know its everyday life. Inviting you to the home in Kaloxylos, the locals prepare a typical Greek meal. You become part of the local life and experience the village way of living. The menu depends, each time, upon your personal preferences, the season and, of, course, what is growing in the village's gardens. Vegetables, dairy products, meat, olive oil and herbs are the main ingredients. Based on traditional recipes you learn how to add a personal family touch and you are ready.  You will cook and enjoy a meal in a traditional house in the center of the village, which is often an attraction for other residents who will welcome you too. The four-hour experience includes cooking and eating traditional Naxos foods.

Absolutely fabulous day out, a great way to see some of the many beautiful places in Naxos. Our guide Nicolas was very knowledgeable about the island and gave us some very interesting facts and stories about Naxos. The Bus driver was an expert at navigating the mountain roads and the trip was as smooth as you like. Thank you to everyone involved in this lovely day out
