Capri Island Full Day Trip from Sorrento & Boat Ride

1. Capri Island Full Day Trip from Sorrento & Boat Ride

After a pick-up at your hotel, meet your guide at Nerano's pier, 30 minutes by bus, and board the boat for Capri Island. The full-day journey takes you via Punta del Capo and the Baths of Queen Giovanna, and the seat of Villa Pollio Felix, the most important Roman archaeological site in Sorrento. Sail along the Sorrento peninsula’s rocky coastline, Massa Lubrense, and Mitigliano Bay. The scenic crossing over from mainland Nerano/Sorrento Coast to Capri Island is approximately 35 minutes. Arrive on the island in the morning at Marina Grande Harbour.  Enjoy enough free time on your own as you wish (option 1), or, for an additional cost, join the recommended visit to both main towns, Capri and Anacapri, via a private minibus skip-the-line service with your guide, to save time and see more (option 2). The 1-hour boat ride around the entire island usually happens in the afternoon. Choose to follow a guided tour of the island (additional cost), or discover the island on your own. At the end of the day you’ll take the boat back to Sorrento.

Board your boat for the day in Positano, then set sail along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to the first stop of the day. Arrive at Li Galli Isles, 3 rocky islands located a few miles from Positano Beach, and learn about the legends of the mermaids who once lived here. Spend some time swimming and snorkeling in the glistening waters, and soak up the tranquil atmosphere of this magical location. Enjoy another swim stop on the way to Sorrento, and pass by the fascinating ruins of Pollio Felica, an Ancient Roman villa. Arrive in Sorrento and visit the picturesque fishing village of Marina Grande. Learn about the village at the onsite historic center, then enjoy some time free time to explore on your own. Find a local restaurant and dine on a typical Italian lunch, stroll through the village's quaint narrow streets, shop for artisan trinkets at craft stores, or simply admire the laid back locals going about their day. At the end of an unforgettable day, head back to the boat and relax on the return journey to Positano, marvelling at panoramic views of the coastline along the way.

What people are saying about Nerano

A well organised trip supported by a knowledgeable and entertaining team. However, a couple of things to bear in mind ; it is a long full day (we were picked up at 0740 & dropped off at 1845) , the boat sails from a small port below Nerano (45min from Sorrento) & the optional 'tour' of Capri is a glorified taxi service by mini bus up to Capri (1.5hrs free time) then on to Anacapri (3hr free time) before returning to the boat for the round the island cruise. That said, our guide did spend some time with the group at both locations. Overall, we considered it good value for money taking the hassle out of getting to and from the main centres of the island.

The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. All of the staff were fantastic and made recommendations of what to do/see on the island of Capri (but weren’t pushy with anything) We opted for the additional coach/bus pass to help get to capri/Anacapri and I would highly recommend it. We had approx 90minutes in Capri and 3 hours in Anacapri to do what we wanted which was a good amount of time. The boat ride around the island after the visit was great and staff gave lots of information about the sights.

Great day … very busy. Worth paying 22€ extra for the guides (who were fab )and shuttle bus up to Capri and Ana Capri. Hold on to your hats the bus drivers are maniacs on the road Fantastic views of the bay and surrounding area.

The company were brilliant from start to finish. They give us pick up time and location the day before and kept us informed all through the trip. Very professional the whole way through

Everything was perfect. Exactly as planned. The accompanying guides were great and ours was spectacular. a 10
