Drew gave us an awesome tour, including so much fascinating history of New Orleans, its people and culture. He used his wonderful storytelling skills to go far beyond architectural details to entertain about famous individuals who have made an impact on New Orleans from original European settlement to today. He answered all questions and was thoughtful about including the entire group in discussion. We walked quite a way, stopping mid-tour for a drink and snack at a local eatery in the District, before moving on. The tour began with an excellent overview of the historical cemetery and common burial practices, including religious influences on burial traditions. Ending the tour, Drew educated us about the changing ecosystem and weather/climate influences that have always affected this below sea level city, and the challenges it faces in decades ahead. Drew was excellent! We highly recommend this tour with Drew as your guide!

Val led us on an excellent walking tour through the Garden District after briefly stopping at the Lafayette Cemetery no. 1 and giving us many interesting facts. It is a bonus that he also happens to live in the district and has actually toured many of the homes we walked by. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours as we learned about the history of the area as well as the city.

We were unable to hear our guide at the beginning of the tour due to construction and maintenance workers at a nearby restaurant. Tour guides should have microphones. Also, the tour information intimates that we will be going INTO a cemetery which is not the case, so it's a little deceiving.
