    Start your experience with hotel pickup, and relax on the drive to Oak Alley Plantation. Enjoy a guided tour of the plantation home by guides in period dress while you hear and learn about the times of slavery. 

    Take in the house's Greek Revival architecture, the antique farm equipment exhibits, and walk around the grounds where 28 evenly spaced, huge oak trees grow. Browse the blacksmith shop and souvenir shop, or stop for a snack (at your own expense) in the restaurant.

    Continue onto Barataria Basin for an airboat tour of the bayou swamplands, where your local captain will guide you through the swamps, marshes, and lakes. Travel at high speeds for an exciting ride, then slow down to spot local wildlife on this exciting airboat experience.

    Found the Oak Alley Plantation tour very interesting & had plenty of time to stroll around the grounds, slave housing, and even fit in a 45 min lunch in the restaurant. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding with 2 of our bus passengers on departure time, so arrived with only 10 minutes to spare for our swamp tour. No time to spend at the gift shop. We took the VIP airboat & we’re well rewarded with alligators! I’ve never seen so many on my other boat tours. Our guide went above & beyond expectations! We even got to hold baby alligators!

    Great way to do both activities in one day! Definitely need to check this out if you're visiting New Orleans! Didn't feel rushed at all (we even had time for lunch/shopping) and all tour guides were excellent - lots of cool photo opportunities too! Plus, being picked up and dropped off at each location and our hotel was perfect. Highly recommend!

    They picked us up at designated area and dropped us off too. Just a heads up, I was told over the phone 8:15 and by 8:30 no one had come. When I called she said pick up is actually between 8:15 and 8:45. So, we waited. Took us to the swamp tour first. This was such a great time! We took the small airboat tour through the Bayou and really had the best time! The guide made it lively and really new the area. Wear sunscreen because there is no shade! Hats fly off. Next off to the Oak Alley Plantation and it is a gorgeous property! The trees alone will blow you away. When you get there you have time for a quick sandwich and then do house tour. It is a cool experience and quite interesting to see a little history. The ride back is about an hour. Overall we really had a great time and I highly recommend doing it at least once!
