My whole family really enjoyed this tour. We were pick up at our hotel and driven to our tour of oak alley. Our driver was very friendly and shared great stories of New Orleans. Oak Alley plantation itself is beautiful and the staff were very knowledgeable about the history of the plantation and slavery. We left Oak Alley with a far better understanding of the tragedies slavery. I reccomend having lunch at the restaurant on the plantation grounds and visiting the gift shop as well. After the plantation tour we were bussed to the swamp tour location. The Swamp tour was absolutely amazing with a great tour guide. Our tour guide was a Louisiana man through and through, he knew his stuff about the bayou and was very funny. You're going to see some gators! After a full day of adventure, it was nice to sit back and be driven back to our hotel in a air conditioned van with a great driver. I definitely recommend the combo tour.

Very nice day well organized with an excellent guide in the person of Barbara. Hurricane Katrina is still very much alive and she shared her experiences with us. Plantation to visit in the morning as we did because a lot of people. Dany the guide in the bayou was top too. I regret that so many noisy boats disturb this magnificent place ... why the speed and the noise with the smell of diesel ??? poor nature who deserves better than that. We saw a single alligator, although obviously we don't see much in winter.

The Oak Alley Plantation Tour and Swamp Boat Tour was truly an amazing experience. Even though the plantation grounds are under renovation, the grounds are well kept and the main home was beautiful. I enjoyed hearing about the families that lived there and seeing how they lived. The gift shop was also a cute addition to the day. The Swamp Boat tour was my favorite part of the day. We got lucky with amazing weather and the views of the Bayou were breathtaking. I was on the fence about doing the pontoon type boat versus the airboat. I'm glad that we went with the pontoon boat for several reason. One being I love taking pictures. it's a hobby of mine. I would not have been able to take pictures if we would have done the airboat. Second being our Captain Beebop was super funny and very informative. I learned a lot about aligators and enjoyed the ambiance that is the bayou. I do suggest bringing a snack for the day and also a sweatshirt as the transport vehicle was a touch cold.
