I'm so happy I booked this tour, because there's no way I would've been able to find each stop by myself. Lyall used to work for the park, so he knows what he's talking about. He shared fascinating information and stories about the people involved in creating the park, and I left feeling like I had a strong grasp on the ins and outs of beautiful Central Park. I was the only person on the tour, and Lyall offered to take my photo in all the best spots, which I also really appreciated.

Incredibly beautiful Central Park with a fantastic guide Lyall. Heard from a true New Yorker all the little things you wouldn’t notice if you meandered the park alone. He knew where movies were made, the statues stories, the trees, the skyscrapers history. Who lives where. A walking park historian but far from a boring guy he was animated & a genuine all around good guy. Book. This. Tour. It’s not a trip to NYC without strolling thru Central Park with an expert.

Lyle was great! It was wonderful to hear the history of the park and the nearby skyscrapers from someone who knew all the details and was full of lots of information. I particularly liked the way he figured out my interest in certain bushes and trees and went out of his way to show us great specimens in the park. Seeing the 'woodland' ramble with all of the birds was amazing such an amazing contrast too many other parts of NYC.
