Full description
You will begin by departing from Oranjestad's De Palm Pier, from where you will be taken out to the Seaworld Explorer to meet your knowlegeable guide. Once having arrived, your guide will share historical and ecological facts about the sights as you pass through the turquoise waters of Aruba. The best part of your tour will be that you get to explore the amazing underwater environment with dry clothing and in an air-conditioned vessel. Your submarine will also come complete with glassed-in and submerged viewing spaces. You will be able to see the rich see life of the Arashi Reef, which is filled with tropical fish and other marine life, as you hear insightful commentary from your guide about the types of coral and fish you see. Your next stop will be the Antilla, a 423-foot (128-meter) German ship that sunk during World War II. This shipwreck is one of the largest ship wrecks in the Caribbean, and you will have time to snap photos of the colossal boat and its marine inhabitants as your guide details the history of the ship.

My husband and I recently took this tour and we loved it. We were fascinated by all of the varieties of fish we saw. We also got to see a crab and a marine turtle up close as we hovered over a reef. The sunken ship was really interesting as well. The guide's descriptions of places and historic events was great. I would definitely recommend this tour. As an aside, my husband is 62 and disabled. He has trouble with balance and walking but he was fine. This was a fun and comfortable tour.

This was a very pleasant experience. it wasn't quite 2 hours as advertised, and if you're prone to getting sea sick, take something prior or maybe skip this. even my husband, who never feels queasy on the water was feeling rough after this one. The sights are hit or miss depending on the clarity of the water and some other factors, and there was no real "Oooh!!" factor, but it was a nice day out, the guides were very personable and it was a unique experience. Little ones, especially, I think would enjoy just seeing the schools of fish passing by. If you're lacking something to do and want a quick, cute diversion, this is for you. If you get sea sick or are looking for a WOW type event or a real underwater adventure, maybe skip this one.
