Detailed Itinerary Day 1: Cusco – Santa Maria (Bike and Rafting) Travel by bus to the high mountain pass of Malaga, where you’ll start your descent on a mountain bike to the town Huamanmarca. The bus will take you to the town of Santa Maria, where you’ll have a short break before beginning a rafting adventure on class III and IV rapids. Overnight at a home stay in Santa Maria. Day 2: Santa Maria – Santa Teresa (Trekking) Begin your trek with an ascent, stopping along the way to learn about the local flora and fauna. After relaxing, continue in a 40-minute walk to the town of Santa Teresa where you will overnight in a family lodging. If you choose the 4-day option, you will have free time until dinner time in Santa María, and will overnight. DAY 2 for 4-day option: Santa María - Quellomayo - Termas de Cocalmayo - Santa Teresa Start the hike with a gradual climb for 3 hours. This area is tropical and you will appreciate organic products of different varieties such as coffee, cocoa, avocado and medicinal plants. Along the way you will also appreciate natural attractions such as the "El Velo de Nusta" waterfall, and the highest pass of the day, "Pastogrande", at an altitude of 1900 meters. Stop for lunch at Islayunca. Continue to an unexplored waterfall, then walk 2.5 hours so you can enjoy the hot springs of Cocalmayo in Santa Teresa. After relaxing, continue on a 40-minute walk to the town of Santa Teresa where you will overnight in a family lodging. DAY 2 for 3-day option / DAY 3 for 4-day option: Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes After a typical breakfast, you can choose add on a zip line adventure after. In this case, after the activity, you will be taken by transport to the beginning of the trail to Aguas Calientes at Hydroelectric. If you don't add the zip-lining activity, you will be taken by bus straight to Hydroelectric. Then, start a 3-hour trek along the train tracks through the jungle to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, enjoy lunch. After lunch, your guide will show you to your accommodation. Have dinner in a restaurant and plan with the guide for the next day for Machu Picchu visit. Overnight in Aguas Calientes. DAY 3 for 3-day option / DAY 4 for 4-day option: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco Get up early in the morning and 4:30 AM to start the walk towards Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. The steep walk up will last approximately 1.5 hours, and the objective is to witness the sunrise from the Inca citadel and be the first to arrive. The walk up to Machu Picchu requires a fair physical condition - you can also choose add on a bus to Machu Picchu at the checkout, if you don't want to do the walk. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu and the surrounding sites. Enjoy free time to take photos and look around the citadel. If you chose one of the extra hikes to one of the mountains you will split ways with the group to go by yourself to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain — you can choose to add on these hikes at the checkout. Leave Machu Picchu and return to Aguas Calientes at around 11:30 AM (walking or by bus, depending on what you choose). Once in Aguas Calientes, board your train to Ollantaytambo, and take a minivan from there to Cusco. Be back in Cusco around 9:30 - 10:00 PM. Day 1: Cusco to Santa Maria We leave between 7:45 am / 8:00 am. Meeting at the reservation office. Our trip begins leaving Cusco with a panoramic view of the city, and then on the way to Chinchero / Ollantaytambo. Where we will take the track on the right bank to ascend to an altitude of 4350 meters above sea level, we will find the Abra Malaga. From this point or better except for the guide's opinion in case of fog, we will descend from the car to take our bicycles. - Where we will begin one of the most beautiful hikes in the world only compared to those of Coroico in Bolivia, we will descend downhill, we will observe the immense valley of the convention of agreement we will descend we will find a different flora from the dry scrub and the strong and tanned haystacks in the height, then a vegetation in temperate zone to finally leave to the vegetation typical of wooded area, we will visit halfway the ruins of inkas what we Wamanmarka-elalmuerzo also in the middle of the road. Day 2: Santa Maria to Santa Teresa After having a breakfast full of vitamins - based on bananas, oranges, papayas and other fruits of the region (juices) we will leave early in search of an unforgettable adventure. We will walk through trails full of vegetation, where we can appreciate the cultivation and harvesting of coffee as well as the sacred plant of the Inka COCA. We will walk along original Inca trails, where we will find the history of the Inca roads now stopped by the post-energetic time of the hike, and having perspired and breathed the purest air in the world, we will have the opportunity to enter the thermal/medicinal baths of Santa Teresa. We will then enter Santa Teresa, where we will take our lunch and rest, when dinner will be the next day. Day 3: Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes We start walking in search of the hanging bridges as well as crossing the Vilcanota River through an oroya. Where we test our adventure and adrenaline, this is one of the most exciting and fun. We will be able to enjoy the great variety of butterflies, parrots, birds, insects - we will also visit the Inti Watana (Solar Clock). Begin the day with pickup from the main hotels in the city at 6:00 am, and head north until reaching the archaeological site where the ruins of the sacred city of Caral remain. Marvel at pyramids, temples, and astronomical centers more than five thousand years old, part of one of the first cities of the Americas. Learn about Caral, located in the Supe Valley, which is the cradle of the Andean civilization and is considered the third oldest place with human settlement in the world, behind Mesopotamia and Egypt. Take an hour of free time to enjoy lunch after learning about the civilization of Caral, and then head toward the area of the Wetlands of Paradise. Visit the archaeological complex of Bandurria, an old fishing village. See its pyramids, mounds, and circular areas similar to those of Caral before approaching a natural viewpoint from which there is a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the Albufera Paraíso. End the visit to Bandurria, begin the journey back to Lima, and be dropped off at the same location as pickup at approximately 8:00 pm.

Day 1: Cusco to Santa María (Biking and Rafting) You'll begin by taking a van for 3.5 hours to Abra Malaga, which sits at 4,350 meters above sea level. There you will be provided with all the equipment before you mount your bike for an enjoyable downhill bike ride to Huamanmarca, at 1,430 meters above sea level. Following a lunch break, your guides will take you on a Quillabamba River rafting adventure for approximately 2 hours (costs not included). The rafting experience will run for 25 kilometers and includes both class-2 and class-3 rapids. Later that evening, you will enjoy dinner before retiring for the night in Santa Maria. Day 2: Santa María to Santa Teresa (Trekking) After breakfast, you will prepare for your trekking high into the forest. On your way up, you will pass local as you venture towards the original Inca Trail at the highest point of your hike. After leaving the Inca Trail behind you, you will arrive at Quellomayo Village, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch and a small rest before trekking onward to the Cocalmayo Hot Springs. That evening you will enjoy dinner before spending the night in a Santa Teresa homestay. Day 3: Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes (Zip-line) After breakfast, you will travel to a zip-line where you will spend 2 hours (costs not included). From there the group will be taken by bus to an area known as the Hidroelectrica for lunch. Following a short break you will continue walking along the train tracks, enjoying beautiful landscapes for approximately 3 hours. You will arrive to the town of Aguas Calientes at around 4:00PM, where you will check-in for your final night's accommodation and dinner. Day 4: Machu Picchu to Cusco On your final day you will wake up early to catch the bus up to Machu Picchu, where you'll take a 2-hour tour around the most important constructions of the area. In the complex we will be able to do different circuits of zip lines and climbing, at the end of the activity we will recover energy with a good lunch and then we will continue the excursion to the Hidroelectrica station. Once we arrive to Hidroelectrica we will continue walking for 3 hours along the train tracks until we arrive to Aguas Calientes or if you are too tired you have the option to buy train tickets on your own. We will be taken to our hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night early. Day 3: Machu Picchu - Cusco We will wake you up around 4:00 a.m. to get ready for the hike, you will be given your breakfast package and then we will start with the hike to the Puente Ruinas checkpoint which is the first checkpoint. You will go up the stairs to the gate of Machu Picchu, once everyone is gathered we will enter Machu Picchu to have a guided tour of 2 hours 30 min.After the visit you will have free time, we will return by train to Ollantaytambo and from there by bus to Cusco.
