Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru National Park. When you arrive at the Uluru Sunset viewing platform, be greeted by a selection of Australian wines and a cheese board as you begin to absorb the beauty of your surroundings. Find your ideal spot, and then just sit back and relax as you watch the sun disappear behind the horizon and change the colors of the rocks in a million splendid ways. After sunset, you will be transferred to an exclusive barbecue site. The site is located far enough away from the resort lights to provide a clear view of the stars in the southern sky. Relax in the company of friends and fellow travelers on beautiful white tablecloths, enjoying sparkling wine. Dine on an Australian gourmet barbecue menu of steak, kangaroo meat, lamb sausages, chicken skewers and garlic prawns, salads, and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of red and white wines, beer, and soft drinks.  After dinner, tea, coffee, and dessert will be served and your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight. The guide will also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars before you return to Ayers Rock Resort. 

Make your way to the Cullen Bay Ferry Terminal, a five-minute drive from Darwin CBD, then cruise over to Bathurst Island, one of the Tiwi Islands. Upon arrival, meet your guide and the modern-day Aboriginal community of Wurrumiyanga. Stop by the Early Mission Precinct with its Tiwi-style Catholic Church, and learn how the Tiwi people have blended their culture with Christianity. Later, spend some time with the Tiwi ladies while they work on their weaving and painting. Then, watch the ladies demonstrate a totem dance and perform a smoking ceremony to bless the visitors.  Once you’ve worked up a bit of an appetite, enjoy a tasty lunch, served with local billy tea and damper. After lunch, there’s time to see more of the community’s arts and crafts and have the opportunity to purchase some. Finally, learn about the complex rituals associated with the Pukamani (burial ceremony). You'll then be taken back to the ferry port for your return to Darwin.

Be overwhelmed by its incredible size, presence, and inherent spirituality. Travel to the west of Uluru and take in the sights of Kata Tjuta, also known as the Olgas. Stop at a viewing point with spectacular views of Kata Tjuta and be sure to have your camera at the ready. Stroll through Walpa Gorge, a desert haven for plants and animals. Take a gentle but rocky track into a world of rare plant species and evergreen shrubs known as Spearwood. Learn about local flora and fauna, and the geology of this amazing formation. Hop back onboard the bus for the comfortable ride back to your meeting point in Yulara. 

Wake early for this tour of a lifetime! Enjoy a light breakfast and hot tea or coffee as you absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings. Board your coach for the drive to the sacred site of Kuniya Piti and be captivated as your driver shares the Tjukurpa.   Hike around the base of Uluru on the Mala Walk. See some of the sacred sites where Aboriginal communities live and prepare for their ceremonies. Some believe that as you walk through this area, you’ll be surrounded by the spirit of the Mala Tjukurpa – the hare-wallaby people. See the vision of a powerful waterfall in a desert at Kantju Gorge! Continue along the Lungkata Walk and hear the Tjukurpa story of a cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard. Discover ancient Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the Indigenous and European history of Uluru. End at Kuniya Piti, where you will get a certificate of your achievement.

The day begins with pickup from your accommodation in Alice Springs at 7:00 AM. Travel through the picturesque West MacDonnell Ranges as you head to Hermannsburg for a morning tea break. Continue along the Finke Riverbed until you reach the impressive Palm Valley. Spend some time wandering amongst the ancient palm trees and explore this desert oasis. Once you’ve worked up a bit of an appetite, enjoy a Bushman’s lunch at the scenic Cycad Gorge. After lunch, marvel at epic views from the Kalaranga lookout then visit the Historic Precinct of Hermannsburg, known to the Arrarnta people as ‘Ntaria’. Explore the town, which is the birthplace of celebrated Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira, and admire the historic buildings. The tour returns to Alice Springs at 5:30 PM.

You will depart the resort late afternoon: sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. Your driver guide will provide expert commentary while you enjoy the amazing surroundings and incredible sight of Uluru in the distance. This fascinating icon stands 348 metres high, although most of its mass is below ground level. You’ll be overwhelmed by its incredible size, presence and inherent spirituality.  Enjoy sparkling wine and nibbles while you begin to absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings. You can just relax or stroll around the Sunset Viewing Area to discover your own personal space to watch the amazing Uluru sunset.  Don’t forget to take a photo every few minutes to capture the famous colour change. Have your driver guide take a photo of you with Uluru in the background – although they say the memory will stay with you forever! Return to the resort after sunset and in time for a dinner booking.

First, get collected from your accommodation in an air-conditioned luxury coach and head into Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. When you arrive, meet your Aboriginal Guide and interpreter from the local Mutitjulu community.  Next, get up close to Uluru with your Anangu guide who will be telling you the stories of this unique landscape and explain the connection between the art, the culture and the connection to the land. Then, head over to the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Listen to how traditional hunting and gathering tools were made and what they were used for. Even join a bowl carrying or spear-throwing session to test your skills and balance! Follow this with a hands-on painting session. Learn about the symbols and painting styles used to create beautiful works of art depicting the Creation time (Tjukurpa) stories. Bring a personal connection to the experience and paint using the knowledge you've gained during the morning with your guide. Take your painting home as a memento of your experience.  Finally, return back to your hotel where your tour concludes.

Depart Alice Springs to explore The West Macs, stopping at the historical Flynn’s Grave Memorial, the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Next up, travel to Simpsons Gap, featuring towering cliffs and a permanent waterhole. The site is significant to the Arrernte people as being the home of giant goanna ancestors. Following that, take a walk to spot black-footed rock wallabies and take magnificent photos. You'll then visit Standley Chasm. Traditionally known as Angkerle Atwatye, this is an important cultural place which is sacred to women's dreaming in Aboriginal culture. Take a 1.2-kilometer walk to access the dramatic 80-meter-tall rock-face, and on the way there or back, note the unusual features of the natural landscape. The unique micro climate in this valley has created some distinctive features, such as ancient cycads and a myriad of rock types and pebbles that are thousands of years old. After your walk, enjoy morning tea at a local cafe before heading back to Alice Springs for some free time for lunch before setting off again to explore the town. In the afternoon, tour the sights of "The Alice" including the School of the Air. Learn how children who cannot access schools are educated by radio, and you may have the opportunity to listen to and observe actual lessons in progress on air. Stop at the historic Telegraph Station, which marks the original site of the first European settlement in Alice Springs. Visit the Royal Flying Doctors Service, where you will see how medical aid reaches those who live in the remote "outback". You'll also stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, where you can see up close and maybe touch some of the lizards and snakes of Central Australia's semi-arid desert. The tour later concludes with panoramic views of the township of Alice Springs and the MacDonnell Ranges from the top of Anzac Hill.

Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing National Park while your driver guide shares insights into the natural and cultural history of this fascinating region. Kata Tjuta simply translated means ‘many heads’ and given the 36 steep-sided domes of Kata Tjuta, it is aptly named. This incredible formation of rock domes extends six kilometres into the ground and is the remains of erosion that began more than 500 million years ago.
