Loved this trip! Was not sure what to expect and they did not tell us ahead of time what the plan was. 1st island you have a choice of snorkeling first or going straight to the island to do whatever you want ie. kayak, banana boat, order drinks, lounge, explore. Second island options: to hike to a waterfall first or hang at a different beach with shopping and a restaurant. The waterfall was AMAZING! and refreshing with a little bar to order drinks. I recommend you bring your $$ to souvenir shop. Wish I would have planned for shopping on Yelepa out of all places. Also eat breakfast before going if you need it. They don't really have a continental bk, just juice and coffee. Lunch was cold sandwiches and salads with fruit and was good. The trip back was entertaining with music and dancing and open bar. The crew was amazing and took great pictures for us to purchase if we wanted. I would definitely go again more prepared with plenty of pesos on hand.

  • Puerto Vallarta: Luxury Day Sailing Tour of Bay of Banderas

    4. Puerto Vallarta: Luxury Day Sailing Tour of Bay of Banderas

Experience a unique sailing tour of the Vallarta coastline aboard a luxurious sailboat or catamaran. Designed for maximum comfort and maneuverability, the sailboats and sailing catamarans in the fleet give you a luxury-level atmosphere and are staffed by an expert crew. Escape the hustle and bustle of the nearby city and discover the region's peaceful waters and secret coves. Enjoy the chance to jump into the water yourself. Swim, snorkel, or paddleboard with complimentary equipment at some of Vallarta's most beautiful hotspots. You can even take the helm and try sailing for yourself!

Our Captain, Carlos was great, personable, and knowledgable about what there is to do in PV. The crew was great as well (Chistian and Alex). The food was authentically out of this world. The sun however bites if you are on the deck without sun screen. When you get to the cove where you can swim, snorkel, paddle board, or hang on the boat, you can go to shore and buy a coconut with a straw in it. This adventure was well worth the time and the money. It isa must do.

Everything was absolutely perfect! From the entrance to the port where we were very well guided, to the nickel boat, to the really nice guide, funny, and professional in his detailed explanations, to the attentive staff. Yelapa is a really cute little village. Feel free to choose the walk to go to the waterfall, which is worth the detour as it is really not strenuous at all and it is not for long (you can believe me as my husband and I do not really don't like hiking!). Then time to rest at the beach restaurant, no complaints, before taking the boat back to go snorkeling (not compulsory if you don't want to of course, you can stay on the boat and enjoy the open bar!). Afterwards, direction Majahuitas and there .... we found paradise on earth, literally! A marvel both in terms of the landscape and the beach club with a magnificent decor and a very chill atmosphere. Don't miss it !!
