The "Chicago of the Ruhr" was the nickname given to Oberhausen when it was founded. This industrial city amazes its visitors. This tour takes you through several parks. You will also come across unexpected beauties such as the court house, town hall and a former department stores', see great cinemas and famous actors. And, of course, you'll keep coming across traces of industrialisation, without which the Ruhr would not be the Ruhr. There are fun tasks and tricky questions at the stops. Pay attention and look carefully, then you will know for example, why a school looks like a church. Starting at the main station, the tour takes you in a round trip through the pedestrian zone, to hidden details in supposedly familiar places and visit the funniest selfie spot in Oberhausen. Then it's back through the Marienviertel to the main station. It's like being shown Oberhausen's city centre by a good friend. The tour is a great way to get out and discover new things with family, friends or even on your own. The walk is about 3.5 km long and takes about 2 hours (depending on your pace). The tour can be started at any time, on site or from home, in the browser of a smartphone. Have fun in Oberhausen! *** Good to know *** You will receive the link to start the tour in an email directly after booking.
