A varied day that was a real success & good value. Once the pick ups are done the day flows smoothly with a good balance of guided & self exploring. The archeological site was a huge surprise (€12 extra) & well worth the time. The walk to red beach was a little steep on poor roads, worth knowing if you have a child’s buggy, & it’s to see the beach, not go on it. Our guide Maria was lovely, balancing varied client needs & expectations very well with good humour & calmness. The suggested lunch stop El Greco Fira was the only regret, the food pretty bland & expensive for a side street without a view. Worth walking on into the town, up the alleyways to glorious views, again not cheap but worth it. Oia we kept walking too, persuading a restaurant with amazing sunset views our drinks bill would equal eating to let us in for beverages only. The return bus trip was swift as all yours got combined based on drop off points so we didn’t have to go around the houses, which was ideal.
