This is an excellent opportunity to escape from the city and explore a side of Morocco not many visitors get to see. En route you’ll pass through many traditional Moroccan towns and rural villages. When you arrive at the Ouzoud Waterfalls, after about a 3-hour drive, you’ll have 4 hours to enjoy the cascades and the area’s natural beauty. Be sure to check out the wild monkeys living in the trees and take a swim if you like. Select the option including a boat ride to see the stunning falls from the water. After a restful and relaxing afternoon, you’ll head back to Marrakech by minibus.

This is a full day trip. You are instructed to meet outside the Cafe Restaurant de France if not being picked up from a hotel, however the Cafe Restaurant de France closed some time ago! The journey was fine, in a comfortable mini bus. On arrival we were met by our guide who escorted us to the falls, down to the bottom and then up the other side, with an organised lunch break. I was one of only two solo travellers so we were rather 'thrown' together despite me not speaking either Arabic or French and she not speaking English. The waterfalls are spectacular- even at the end of summer with the water level probably at its low point. The food was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, but more enjoyable when you are with someone to share the experience with.

    4. From Marrakech: Day Trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls

Depart Marrakech and journey by air-conditioned vehicle towards the Middle Atlas mountain range. Enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape as you make your way to Ouzoud Waterfalls in the village of Tanaghmeilt. Look for different plants and animals, including the abundant olive groves, apple orchards, oak trees, pomegranate trees, fig trees and more. Hike from the top of the cascades to reach the bottom, and keep a look out for wild monkeys playing in the trees. Enjoy lunch at leisure in a Berber restaurant, located along the paths to the waterfalls. Return to Marrakech at the end of a day of peace in nature and get dropped off at your accommodation on arrival.

Driver came a little late to pick us from hotel. Journey to water falls was fine however the seats we got on the minibus were not that comfortable. On Arrival we were met with Hamid the guide who explained the itenary but was rather rude when I asked him some questions about the nature of the 1 hour walk to the waterfalls as my wife has high blood pressure and has issues on walking in steep eneven terrain. As it tuned out the route to the water falls was a very steep gorge path and was slippery at places. The only good thing was that there were steps on the way up. This was not made clear to us as I wanted this clarified but the guide took offence and made comments about my English. Having lived in the UK for more than 50 years as a proffesional I have good fluency of the English language than the guide. I think this should be clarified on your itenary as well. The waterfalls was very beautifull and overall nice day out and would recommend it to anyone.

The waterfalls were great and well worth the visit. Bit of an extra trek to see the monkeys but not all that far and easily reached. The guide was good but not sure it is necessary to use one to get best out of the trip aside from giving the safety in knowing you will be back at your bus at the right time. The minibus might have had suspension at some point but that seemed to have long gone and one of the seatbelts was broken.

Ibrahim our tour guide was excellent, extremely friendly, informative, funny and was not pushy to buy products (unlike other tours). Would highly recommend to anyone who comes to Marrakesh.

Very lovely guides and a wonderful area to visit. The walking can be quite difficult so prepare yourselves and bring suitable footwear for the rough terrain.

Great organization, and all the communication with both travel company and get your guide. Thank you! The waterfall is just amazing, highly recommend.
