It's an early start, but seeing the sunrise and scenery from a hot air balloon is an experience like none other. From the local partner's check-in office, transfer to the launch field in Pahrump, an hour west of the Las Vegas Strip. Upon take-off, there is no sensation of movement, rather one of the ground dropping away. During the flight, which lasts 45-60 minutes, get spectacular birds-eye views of the Spring and Nopah Mountain Ranges, Death Valley, and Eastern California in the distance. As you drift silently and peacefully over the countryside, watch for desert wildlife, snap photos and even talk with envious onlookers down below.
