From Las Vegas: Mojave Desert Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride

1. From Las Vegas: Mojave Desert Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride

Discover the Mojave Desert from a new perspective as you glide overhead in a hot air balloon. Glimpse wildlife down below and enjoy birds-eye views of Death Valley and the Nopah Mountain Range. Partake in a traditional champagne toast at the end and learn about the history of hot air balloons. Meet your pilot and crew approximately 90 minutes prior to sunrise. It's an early start, but seeing the sunrise and scenery from a hot air balloon is an experience like none other. From the local partner's check-in office, transfer to the launch field in Pahrump, an hour west of the Las Vegas Strip. Upon take-off, there is no sensation of movement, rather one of the ground dropping away. During the flight, which lasts 45-60 minutes, get spectacular birds-eye views of the Spring and Nopah Mountain Ranges, Death Valley, and Eastern California in the distance. As you drift silently and peacefully over the countryside, watch for desert wildlife, snap photos and even talk with envious onlookers down below. Upon landing, participate in a traditional champagne toast, hear the story of how hot air ballooning began, and how it led to modern-day aviation as we know it. Plan to be away for up to 6 hours in total, allowing for check-in, travel to the launch location, a safety briefing, set-up and pack-up of the balloon as well as the return drive back to your original meeting location.

2. Las Vegas: Death Valley Day Trip w/ Stargazing & Wine Tour

Take in the highlights of Death Valley's desert landscape on an all-day guided hike with free hotel pickup from Las Vegas. Taste wine during a tour of a local winery and stop to take in incredible views of the sunset and the starlit sky. While Death Valley is home to the world's hottest recorded temperature, start your hike in the afternoon when the weather is cooler. Kick things off with a refreshing wine tasting tour in Pahrump, the biggest wine producer in Nevada. Head toward Death Valley National Park to explore scenic viewpoints, such as Dante’s View, a Star Wars filming location. Next, visit Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. After taking pictures of these spectacularly memorable locations, stop at the Ranch at Furnace Creek. As nightfall approaches, venture toward Zabriskie Point to catch the ultimate sunset, followed by a chance for stargazing at the breathtaking night sky. Enjoy plenty of opportunities to view the constellations and, if you are lucky, the Milky Way galaxy. Even after being dropped off at your hotel in Las Vegas, enjoy memories of your hike for years to come thanks to the photos taken by your guide that you will have access to download.
