Things to do in Paphos District

Enjoy the convenience of a hotel pickup and board your air-conditioned tour bus to explore the most picturesque parts of Cyprus before heading out on a cruise to visit the Blue Lagoon. Set sail along the southeast coast of Cyprus on a boat cruise from Ayia Napa to the famous Blue Lagoon. Admire the striking coastline as you sail, stopping along the way to swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Board the boat and head out to sea, sailing along the southeastern coast and passing by popular landmarks. Sit back, unwind, and take in the sights as you listen to relaxing music and feel the gentle ocean breeze on your skin. Take advantage of 2 swim stops along the way, one in Konnos Bay and one at the Blue Lagoon. Each swim stop will last for around 1 hour. Go for a dip in the azure waters, or make use of the snorkeling equipment on board, and discover the underwater world off the coast of Cyprus. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can also jump into the water from the boat's upper deck. Or, if you'd prefer to work on your tan, feel free to relax on one of the 40 mattresses provided on the top deck for sunbathing. Your Blue Lagoon boat tour comes to an end back at the marina where you boarded the luxury cruiser. 

First stop on the way to the Troodos Mountains is at the Chrysorriatissa Monastery, a 12th Century monastery, view its vineyards planted in the end of the 18th century produce some of the finest white Ayios Andronicos and Ayios Elias and enjoy the magnificent valley overlooking Kannaviou dam. The tour continues towards Kykkos, passing through the Pafos forest. Arriving at Kykkos Monastery, you will be guided through the renowned and rich Monastery as well as to visit the Archbishop Makarios’ tomb in Throni where you can enjoy the breath-taking view of almost all the islands! We drive on to “Timios Stavros” famous for its cross of 25meters high which overlooks Marathasa Valley. There will be free time to enjoy your buffet lunch (price not included) or free time to enjoy the magnificent view. On the way to Omodos we will drive through the pine forest, pass the highest village of Cyprus, Prodromos and tourist Platres. Omodos is a traditional wine producing village, you can walk through the cobbled streets to reach the village square lined with cafes and shops selling wines, olive oil and other local products or visit the church of the Holy Cross and then enjoy a Cyprus coffee in the square. Departing from Paphos harbour at 10:00am, you will experience the unforgettable coastal scenery of Coral Bay, Sea Caves, and St. George Island (Akamas area). Get entry tickets to the Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark, the largest waterpark in the Paphos region. Cool down with this park's giant variety of slides, pools, and water attractions. Grab a friend and chute down the "Gravity" tube slide together. Speed down the curves of the "Kamikaze" body slide. Dare to take an adrenaline-pumping ride down the "Free Fall." This towering feet foot slide shoots you down a near-vertical incline, ending in a splash that will take your breath away. Jump into the leisure pool and bounce on the giant "Wet Bubble," a huge air-filled bubble, a unique attraction that is a cross between a trampoline and a sprinkler. Relax as you slowly drift down a 400m lazy river that stretches around the park. Take a dip and bounce along with the surf in the wave pool. Young children will love playing in the kids' water-play area where they can play on a pirate ship, climb up the mini-volcano, and jump on the mini-bubble. Start by seeing Famagusta as it is considered today: an abandoned ghost town. Get some insight into the history of the area by watching a short film showcasing Famagusta before the invasion. Then, continue on your adventure to the border and drive along the fence which surrounds this once glamorous city. You'll arrive on the area's renowned sandy beach and get a closeup view of the deserted hotels that line the coast. Get some time to stroll the streets of the ghost town to see the abandoned hotels, homes, and shops. Next, you'll circle the moat of the old gothic city where the castle walls tower over you. Before the end of the trip, enjoy time to explore the city within the castle walls where 356 churches and cathedrals once stood. Witness centuries of history that have gone by. 

Travel with excitement, choosing between either a quad bike or a buggy to take on the sights. The course through the mountains are un-mapped and off road so the journey is under your control in timing and route. Starting from the main tourist centre in Paphos, you can then arrange a specific time to meet at your accommodation as the finish point. Before you take off, it will be necessary to sign papers and read the terms and conditions while receiving a briefing.  The driving tracks recommended to you, offer a combination of landscapes that represent a small sample of Cyprus, from a coastal drive to an off-road mountain range route. The first stop is at a graphical natural beach were you will be able to enjoy a small break and view the scenery. The next destination is a rustic Cypriot Village, with traditional stoned houses, narrow streets of magnificent and peaceful views. At the village you have the chance to enjoy the views and taste a delicious Cyprus coffee. The greatest part is the riding experience on a buggy! The way back involves a relax on-road driving to the starting point. Take your underwater in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea on this scuba diving tour. Dive into fun and learn the basics of diving with a team of PADI Professionals on a 3 part experience of briefing, diving skills and an open water dive. The briefing includes all the information you need to know for a great dive. Including how you will equalize your air spaces, the hand signals used to communicate and a breakdown of the skills which you will be doing. You will also be shown how the equipment works and what it’s used for. Jump in the pool and take your first breath underwater. Practice using the equipment you’re going to be diving with and conquer the basic skills. Dive down to the deep end of our training pool to practice equalizing your ears and swimming around in full diving gear. Head to the training dive site the Roman Wall and experience the amazing underwater world. Just a short walk from the dive centre, this shore dive is the perfect place for beginner divers. Discover ancient Roman Amphorae, lost anchors, and possibly green sea turtles during the summer. Your first stop will be the ancient Greek city-kingdom of Kourion which dates to the 10th century BC. You will see the many excavations including the complex of Eustolios and admire the magnificent amphitheater with its spectacular views over Episkopi Bay. Continue with a stop at Kolossi and the medieval castle, a former Crusader stronghold free time and optional visit the Castle ( entrance fees not included in the price). From there, drive to Limassol arriving in the old town, close to the medieval castle, Limassol Marina, and the market area where you will have free time for exploring, shopping and lunch (not included). On the way back stop at the Rock of Aphrodite where, according to legend, the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born from the waves and there will be time for a swim.

The first stop will be Choirokoitia for a coffee break ( no visit to the archeological site of Choirokitia) before continuing to Strovilia check point (passports necessary) to cross the United Nations Green Line. We will arrive at the monastery of St Barnabas which has now been converted into a museum housing icons and other religious artefact. We will also see the tomb of St Barnabas. We continue to the ancient Kingdom of Salamis built in the 12th Century BC and visit the amphitheatre and gymnasium. We arrive in the city of Famagusta with its many Gothic churches and surrounded by Venetian walls. There will be time to visit the Cathedral of St Nikolaos built in 1312 and converted in 1570 into a mosque as well as free time for sightseeing, shopping, and lunch (not included). Finally, we will view from the bus the “Ghost Town – Varosi”(no visit) to see the abandoned houses and hotels which have been closed off behind wire since 1974 and admire the best sandy beaches of the island
