Your experience begins by getting picked up from your hostel/hotel between 5:30 AM–6 AM. From there, travel to Paracas, a beautiful small town by the sea, on a spacious bus where you'll be able to relax for the 4-hour ride. Once in Paracas, you will begin a 2-hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, and this tour offers you the chance to see sea lions, penguins, and plenty of birds up close and all in their natural habitats. You may even get the chance to see a dolphin or two. At 1 PM, move on from Paracas to Huacachina, a natural oasis located in the Ica Desert home to the biggest sand dunes in South America. There, you will have free time to explore and have lunch at one of the local restaurants around the oasis. Following lunch, it will be time for 2 hours of exhilarating dune buggying and sandboarding. Dune buggy up the sand du...
SO MUCH FUN!! This is a great experience! My husband and I had a blast. The scenery is so beautiful, like nothing we have seen before. The guides were great and our driver was amazing. He was wild and fast but we felt safe. His name is Alex and he is the best! The sand boarding was so much fun and the sunset was beautiful. We highly recommend this experience!
Visit a natural oasis in the middle of the desert surrounded by beautiful palm trees. Here, you can also take pedal boat rides around the lagoon, practice sand-boarding and ride in tubular cars. You will be picked up from your hotel at 4:00 AM. Before heading to Paracas. Once you arrive, board the 'sliders' at the pier and begin the excursion to the Ballestas Islands. On the way, we can see the 'Candelabro' (Paracas Chandelier), a large geoglyph that serves as a beacon to the navigators. Continuing to the Ballestas Islands, you'll see the natural habitat of the sea lions. They love to approach the tourist boats, a truly magical spectacle that justifies the visit in itself. You will also be able to view the Humboldt penguins and guano birds. Continuing to the province of Ica, get to know the culture and gastronomy with a typical lunch. After lunch, you'll go to the Huacachina Oasis an...
This was a gr8 tour. Cheers to guide Miraglos and driver Viktor. Miraglos was good at time management and engaging the group. Be prepared for a long day as these places are far from Lima. We were picked up at 4.50 am by a private taxi (included in the booking) and then transfered to the van. The van seats 15, bit we were only 7 tourists, so it was comfortable. The tour of Ballesyas islands is gr8, u see the island rock formations and some penguins as well. Lunch is elaborate and sumptuous at El Catador, where u also engage in wine and pisco tasting. You will then proceed to Huacachina oasis for sand buggy and sand boarding. This is a gr8 adventure in the dunes. Viktor was gr8 driver and drove with caution and safety. Miraglos was always there to facilitate your rideback from dropoff point by a private taxi ( included in booking). Highly recommended tour.
Wake up early for pick-up from your hotel at 4:30 AM and travel to the Paracas National Reserve. Enjoy a breakfast box on the way there. Board the first boat to Ballestas Islands and admire the scenery of Paracas Bay, keeping an eye out for wildlife like sea lions, seagulls and penguins. Travel to the aerodrome of Ica and watch an informative video on the history of the Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Jump on to a Cessna 208 Caravan plane and fly over the ancient geoglyphs, to view them from above. Take pictures of the whale, astronaut, monkey, hummingbird and many more of the geoglyphs. Head to a traditional Peruvian restaurant and choose between a creole or seafood lunch, complemented with drinks. Indulge yourself with a wine tasting as well as traditional pisco, famously made in the region. Return to Lima at 7:00 PM.
Start your adventure by departing Lima in the early morning. Travel for around 300 km on the Pan-American highway until you reach Paracas Bay, a very important place for Peruvian history which is full of wildlife. Enjoy a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands and watch out for birds, sea lions, dolphins, and penguins. Then drive to drive to a small local winery to learn how Pisco is made and to enjoy a tasting. Stop at the Huacachina Oasis, and take some time to eat lunch and walk around. Test your skills at sandboarding for an additional cost or just enjoy free time at the pool drinking Pisco Sours. At the end of the adventure, head back to Lima via the same route.
It is a long day, but well worthwhile as a lot is packed in. I was really lucky as I was the only one on the tour that day so had Choji, my guide, to myself. His English was excellent and he was a really interesting guide. He covered not only details about the sights on the way but also happily discussing pretty much anything about Peru that I wanted to know. Great to get out of Lima and see something of Peru. Trip to the Ballestas Islands was memorable - getting up close to the sea lions and birds. Desert and oasis impressive too. Sand buggying very much like a roller coaster. Lunch and tasting at the winery were good too. Our guide there was really informative and funny. Also very generous tasting session of eight different piscos. A well put together tour.
After pickup, head to the south to discover unique landscapes where the desert, the islands and the sea all meet. Make a brief stop for a delicious breakfast and continue the journey. Then, go to Paracas dock to take a speed boat to the Ballestas Islands. Explore the rocky islands and discover the rich marine fauna. Take photos of sea lions and many types of birds such as penguins. Don't miss the enigmatic Candelabro Geoglyph, used as a navigational guide by ancient cultures. After your tour of the island, visit the impressive and isolated Paracas National Reserve. This natural reserve is part of the Guinness World Record for the driest desert on earth. Admire the stunning landscape of the peninsula. Learn all about dessert formation from your expert guide. If you are lucky you might see the great pink flamingos. Then, return to your hotel in Lima.
Departing from Lima, this tour starts the adventure with an early morning hotel pick-up. The expert driver and local guide provides some background on the history and culture of the area as the tour drives to the first stop of Paracas. There a boat is waiting in the bay. The tour then takes you to the sea to explore the Pacific Ocean and see the local wildlife, including penguins and dolphins. After breakfast in the port of Paracas, the tour will continue to the wine region of Ica. Upon arrival, guests will see the unforgettable sight of Huacachina, the oasis in the desert with a permanent population of only 100 people. Here you can enjoy the thrill and adrenaline rush of sandboarding and driving buggies on the dunes, as well as touring the stunning natural landscapes. Ica is world-famous for the drink Pisco, and the tour provides a full local lunch with Pisco and wine to accompany th...

Good but a bit exhausting given the early wake up, guide was very nice and knowledgeable
Start with pickup from your hotel and travel by private vehicle towards the city of Ica. On the way to Ica, visit a traditional vineyard where you will have the opportunity to learn more about traditional wines and the famous Pisco spirit, the national drink of Peru. Here, you will also have the opportunity to taste some of the products. Then, drive southwest towards Huacachina Oasis, a beautiful lagoon surrounded by palm trees and huge sand dunes with a spectacular view of Ica Valley and desert. Climb the sand dunes and enjoy one of the famous dune buggy tours. This tour will take 2 hours across the Ica desert, and you will also have a sandboard or sand-surfing lesson at the sand dunes. Finally, stop at the highest sand dune to enjoy the sunset. Return to Huacachina, where you can take a shower to wash off the sand, before returning to your hotel in Paracas.
Everything was amazing!!! We have a lot of fun!!! Our guide Yuri was excellent!!!
Meet your guide at 9:15 AM at San Martin Port, from where you will travel to Paracas town to meet the rest of the group and board the speedboat to begin this adventure to the stunning Ballestas Islands. On the way, you will stop at the Paracas peninsula to see the enigmatic figure of the Candelabro, a stunning design drawn on the side of a hill in the Peninsula. Nobody knows for sure who did it or why. Some believe it is related to the Nazca Lines, but still found no proof or evidence that can define its creation. Afterwards head off to Ballestas Island where you will enter a world filled with birds and sea lions. Here you will see the three islands and, if conditions allow, navigate in some caves. On your return to the port, you will board a vehicle towards Paracas Reserve. At Paracas Reserve you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Reserve by visiting the interpretation...
Great experience. Pick up was on time and well organized. Boat driver was great maneuvering so passengers on each side had equal time viewing each site. Guide was informative and clear. Amazing to see so many birds and sea lions up close. The tour into the dessert reserve was equally enjoyable. Such desolate beauty.

A fantastic trip that is worth doing, it is enjoyed a lot starting by boat, the Ballestas Islands and Huacachina. I really recommend them, the guides are all very active and help you a lot, they are always by your side, thanks guys. I just have to tell you that the food disappointed me in Paracas.
Again great job, although the day was too long but it covered lots of different places, from boat ride to buggy ride in the desert. Started on time and finished on time as well. For sure I recommend it!
One of the best tours that i take in Peru. Intense, adventure and a lot of adrenaline with the boggies at the dunes. And dont forget about the excellent staff Deborah and Renzo, what a good team!
Jorge was a very nice guide and the tour was amazing! Pisco tasting and Huacachina oasis were the best part.
We had a lot of fun. Luis and his mate were great guides.
