Full description
Take a fascinating excursion to 2 of the most impressive symbols of French culture, and discover the complex and rich history behind their walls. See the home of Claude Monet, and be inspired by the touch of color and charm that influenced his work. Explore the colorful garden whose lilies, weeping willows, and flowerbeds are a vivid reminder of his masterful works. You will then enjoy a traditional lunch before visiting the stunning site of the Palace of Versailles. You will discover the masterful combination of classic and baroque architectural styles. It was a great and memorable trip. Though we took an audio guided tour, we were accompanied by a guide, who made things very easy for us. We had a good time at Giverny, (though the queues were a bit long). The lunch was served at an awesome place. Versailles was also nice... Though we had to pay separately for the gardens.

This is a beautiful trip to two must see places in Paris. Though one other guide who was assigned to our group inside Versailles may need to add more basic facts in the content of her narratives on important factual details over anecdotes. Our main guide Vincent is a very organized guide without that tense aura of letting us know about the "rules" and "time limit", because of his amiable personality which made our trip to Giverny happy, light and fun! He is knowledgeable, too!

Our guide on the bus was friendly, informative, and sometimes quite amusing and shared alot of interesting information on the way to Giverney. Monet's Gardens are incredibly beautiful and serene, even with lots of other people there. The one drawback was that I felt we did not have enough time there. Lunch was lovely, again in a beautiful spot and gave us a chance to get to know the others on the tour a little. We were held up outside the Palace of Versailles, in the rain, through no fault of the tour company or our guide. And in fact our guide did everything in his power to get us inside as soon as possible and was so amusing that it really didnt seem to matter that we had to wait in the rain for a little while. Again, taking us through the Palace of Versailles our guide was very informative. The Palace of Versailles itself is incredibly opulent and a sight to behold.
