Full description
The Arc de Triomphe is a Neoclassical take on the ancient Roman triumphal arch style. Fifty meters tall, the view from the platform atop the arch is well worth the hike. See the dozen Parisian avenues radiating out from the arch into the City of Light. Paris is one of the most fascinating places in the world and you will find yourself right at its center. Inspired by the great arches of ancient Rome, Napoleon commissioned the Arc de Triomphe shortly after his victory at Austerlitz. Unfortunately, he never lived to see its completion. At the base of the arch, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier pays tribute to the 1.3 million French soldiers who died in World War I. Behold the eternal flame that is rekindled at 6.30 PM each evening. In addition, there is a must-see exhibition which explains the symbolic importance of this monument. The view from the top of the arch is worth climbing the 284 stairs. From your privileged position, survey all of Paris. Unlike the obligatory Eiffel Tower trip, getting into the Arc de Triomphe is an effort not all tourists undertake. Plus, with skip-the-line tickets, you'll hardly have to break stride on your way in. From 18 September to 4 October, discover L'Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped project, a work that Christo wished to be continued after his death. L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped will use 25,000 square meters of recyclable polypropylene fabric in silvery blue and 3,000 meters of red rope. The Arc de Triomphe remains open to a limited number of people who will be able to access the rooftop, be at the heart of the work of art, walk on the fabric that will also cover the floor, and enjoy the panoramic view. Come and share this unforgettable moment, with a reserved time slot to enter the monument.

An iconic monument that looks great from every point of view. It’s quite deceiving and it’s a lot larger than what I thought it would be. I went up to the very top of the terrace and the view from the city is breathtaking, you can notice landmarks from a distance. It’s also located in one of the biggest and busiest traffic circles of the world.

In magnificent weather, we were able to see a superb panorama of Paris. Very beautiful building to discover or re-discover. The film presenting the history of the monument is very well done. In short, concise, colorful ... accessible to all. A few (equal) steps to climb, and the view is magnificent.

Visit to the summit of the Arc de Triomphe was excellent. The booking procedures and information Provided were excellent. The only issue was the quick access line was with those who bought tickets on site so you missed one line only. The access line through security with one side speedy and 1 side doing 1-2 people every few minutes and that slowed our line. That was frustrating but worth the wait when we made it through
